- Second (and separate) mod equips one earring from 'Pierced Ears - Earrings SE' to all NPCs.

Requirements

Overview
Pierced Ears - Earrings SE contains five sets of earrings, in three different materials: steel, ebony, gold. Earrings can be equipped on either the left or right ear - or both.

  • The first mod utilizes two small scripts that run once (at game initialization) to randomly distribute and equip an earring set (both ears) to all NPCs (ActorTypeNPC). Each earring in the set are almost always different (e.g., left steel ring / right gold spiral; left ebony cross / right steel rings). Mixed and rarely matched.

  • The second mod utilizes a small script that runs once (at game initialization) to randomly distribute and equip one (1) earring to all NPCs (ActorTypeNPC). The earring may be equipped in either the left or right ear (random). This version will save a body slot or enhance gameplay in particular ways (e.g., pirate playthrough). Both mods will always calculate its respective random distribution based on 30 earrings no matter how distribution is configured (e.g., female, male, level, faction, voicetype, etc.).

Compatibility
Highly compatible with most setups, and with most other mods. 
  • Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) does not edit levelled lists, and does not modify or generate new records. 
  • Body slots, however, are not compatible. Choose wisely, or edit the body slot. I will not alter body slots. 
  • Clipping will likely occur depending on setup. I will not resolve clipping issues.
  • Some Guards will have their helmets removed if wearing earrings. I have provided an _DISTR.ini configuration that omits (most) Guards from receiving an earring, thereby keeping their helmets intact / on. Please see Article for more information.

Installation and Uninstallation
Use the mod manager of your choice to install. Or manually. To uninstall, remove with mod manager. My understanding is that SPID will not impact save games in any way. Safe to uninstall at anytime.

Caveats, Recommendations, and Extensions
  • Children do not have earrings
  • No point to running both mods. Pick one.
  • Images are for illustration purposes only. Your NPCs will receive a random earring
  • The very talented SomethingObscure has made a more complete version of this mod Nostromo79's Earrings - Integrated
  • I recommend setting the distribution to specific groups (e.g., pirates) or reduce the distribution chance to a moderate level (e.g., 25%). Otherwise, your economy may become bloated quickly. You might simply delete the values of each earring in xEdit as another option. 
  • I do not think that earrings can be pickpocketed....
