Becoming Thane of Riften now requires completion of Favors like in the other Holds, instead of Miscellaneous Objectives. Plus - regain your Thaneship after a change of Jarl in the Civil War!

To become Thane of the Rift in the original game, you have to complete three Miscellaneous quests in Riften without any counter to track your progress.
This mod changes the requirements for I Done Got Thaned! to instead require completion of five Favors across the Rift, including the outlying villages and farms, with a tracker for Assist the People of the Rift like in all the other Holds.
You can also now regain your Thaneship after a change of Jarl in the Civil War, which isn't otherwise possible in Riften.
Starting the Quest
To start the quest, you must first complete Helping Hand, The Raid, and Supply and Demand, which is the same as before. Completion of Supply and Demand will now start the Assist the people of the Rift objective.
Completing Assist the people of the Rift will trigger the Speak to the Jarl of Riften objective from the original quest.
Will not do anything new if you are already Thane of Riften, but will allow you to regain your Thaneship if the Jarl changes as a result of the Civil War.

Compatible by design with the rest of my Thanes Require Favors series:
This mod edits the Quest Fragment script of FavorJarlsMakeFriends and the core script of FFRiftenThaneQuest. Compatibility is therefore not guaranteed with anything else related to becoming Thane, but this mod should load after them if possible. Let me know if you'd like me to create a patch!

- Thane Me Slower - Increase the number of Favors required to become Thane. (For the Rift, this will increase from 5 to 10.)
- Thane of Whiterun Requires Favors - Becoming Balgruuf's Thane requires completion of Favors in addition to defeating the dragon. Load after Thane of Riften Requires Favors.
