Love this mod, thank you so much. It's one of those tiny differences that gives you pleasure a palooza. Rugs is another, my first thought was why would I need rugs? Ha. Especially as I always have the conservatory in Hearthfire. :)

All the decorations are awesome, especially with retextures O:) You're right, it's all about the tiny differences.

Here I am, the bringer of bad news, the sower of sorrow. Or something like that.
    (t's actually not that bad)

I just dropped by to tell you that the rectangle shaped planters have a slight offset for some reason. It's most noticeable when you look at the ones at the door to the Temple of the Divines in Solitude or in Understone Keep in Markath (right in front of the Jarl's throne room). No idea what's causing it but some of the plants (at the far end) that are supposed to be in the planter are floating in the air for me because the planters are slightly off-center.

Maybe it's also because of my plants replacer but they fit in just great with the vanilla pots.

    Also, thanks for the mod!

      Huh :O
Tested and confirmed. That's the strangest thing :O I can't see anything in the mesh that would cause this. There was a bit of an Y axis offset on the model for collision node, but putting that back to 0 didn't really change anything :/
I recommend using something like Jaxonz Positioner for now to align the worst offenders manually in the meantime. I'll look into this more. And as always, any insight into this are welcome. This is really baffling. Why would it do that? :D
Thank you for bringing this to attention <3?

Unfortunately I don't know how Skyrim determines how to place 3D models into the world but I assume that the 3D model itself isn't built around a center point (0, 0, 0) but has a bit of an offset along the x-axis. The game itself has to somehow determine where the object starts which it is placing in the game world and if I'd take a guess it would be that it simply uses the center point from the generated 3D file.

I know that with 3D printers you still have to convert the 3D file into a file to execute commands which involves determining how to place the model among a lot of other choices. No idea about the creation kit though or 3D object placement in games in general.

But that's just me taking wild guesses really........

Interesting. But I don't see any offset at all recorded in the model data :O Though it might just be beyond the scope of what I know about meshes. It's odd that this model should have any when it's clearly made from the vanilla one.
Hmm... I will keep poking around. Hopefully this is something that can be resolved. Thank you for the input :)

So it's only mod-added in all cases? Is this only with JK interiors? Mine were mis-aligned with the JK Understone Keep and I assume the same was true for ModGoblin9000 as well as JK Temple of the Divines? It might be something in the esps instead because I cannot fathom why this would be happening with the mesh, I could be wrong though. Still looking into this. Thank you for the reports :)
And any further insights into this would be helpful. Mainly about the mods in use (JK interior overhauls or something else? What about vanilla?)

I'm also using JK's interiors but I don't think that mods are the problem. My Solitude is only retextured and I don't think that JK's Temple of the Divines adds extra planters outside. I could be wrong though but I also remember that More Informative Console said that those were added and last modified by Skyrim.esm => base game stuff.

I also noticed the problem in other places during mod testing lately. Can't remember all of them but one was for example the Farmstead cellar from the Anniversary Edition. Only my compability patches could somehow affect the planter there but it's also unlikely that they would do that. Pretty much every square planter I come across is slightly off. I did a test with the planters in front of the Temple of the Divines and without this mod the planters were in the correct position. So I think it's safe to assume that it's some kind of problem with the mesh. Then again I didn't compare every single planter, only those two.

      Alright I think I fixed it :)
I didn't see anything wrong with the mesh since there was absolutely no offset but only after I extracted the vanilla BSAs and found the model I found out that there's actually supposed to be an offset *sigh*. I've never seen a mesh with a vanilla offset before, so apologies for not checking earlier.
In any case, all's well that ends well :)
Thank you so much ModGoblin for bringing this to attention and thanks to anyone for the helpful reports :) <3

All's well that ends well. I already feared that I sounded a bit ungrateful (phew).

Anyway, thank you very much for the fix! And of course for giving us these pretty planters in the first place.

No need to worry about sounding ungrateful or anything like that, I was more worried about me sounding like I was pinning it on JK :D I was just trying to get to the bottom of this in any way I could think of :)
But hopefully everything's resolved now. There's collision and the proper offset, whew. These were more trouble than I thought :D
But I'm glad you and everyone else who does enjoy them. Hopefully now without issues :)

      Huh, I never noticed :O
The collision node is missing in the original meshes too :O
I tried to fix this, I tried to copy collision nodes and when that didn't work, I created new ones. But the game CTD'd with the new ones no matter what I did :'( I'm afraid I'm not knowledgable enough to fix this yet. If anyone more skilled can create collision nodes for the square models, please let me know. I'll be on the lookout for more information as I learn to work with NifSkope further.
      Thanks for the notice :)

      Hi Jeannetta,
I believe I fixed your meshes, you can download them from here Do check if they work, and if they do, you can update your mod if you wish. I love how you remade these planters and I wanted to help, since you were open to it.

The problem was in NiTriShape nodes, which are used in LE and hardly ever work well for SE. So I converted them to BSTriShape and added Collision and BSX flag to square pots. The round pot is also converted, although I think it was fine to begin with.

Thank you for a beautiful mod

Hmm... these cause CTD for me as well :(
I don't understand this, the moment there's collision for the planters, it's like the game goes on a strike. It was the same when I added the collision nodes before :(
Maybe it's my setup. I don't know how it would be possible, but anything's possible in Skyrim :D Did you test the mesh fixes in your game?
Or anyone else who downloaded them, did they work for you?

I think I fixed it this time
      Here is the link
I had no crashes in-game. I'm happy to help if I can.

Note that these are the meshes for matching top version (what I currently use). I don't know how much different the others are, but if it's only the textures, you can easily adjust them for other versions in NifSkope.

Yes, it is the same model, so they will show up as planters in the greenhouse in which you can plant stuff ;) (not the largest ones on the ground, that's a different model, but those on the tables and cupboards) I will post a screen of them.

    I love these.

They look superb. All options would look superb in my game but there is one issue that most would not notice, well not at first anyway. You install any version and it would look brilliant in the solitude castle as it will match however, when you get to volhikar castle they will end up sticking out like a sore thumb. What would make this mod final and better than all the others would be to create an esp flagged esl. Add all of the other pots throughout the game and make them point to other textures via the mesh or maybe make all of the pots in solitude area unique compared to the vanilla path. This would allow people to have the pots look unique in different areas. Not every pot in the game should look as snazzy. Damn good looking mod though. This is constructive advice and not negative. I would love to see someone make these pots all unique.

Interesting idea, and I do get that :) To be honest, the original reason why I made this mod for myself was after seeing someone's screenshot of Castle Volkihar with these and I wanted them too :D My vamps are fancy :D And with Snazzy furniture mod, it fits everywhere imho :)
But that's not the case for everyone's setup ofc.
What you're suggesting would be quite a big undertaking and it would take me a lot of time (especially given my limited modding abilities :D ) but I had an idea. Extravagant Interiors has a version that already does this for Blue Palace only for all the textures and meshes. I could simply take the ESP from there, remove the records for everything but the planters and change the path. This would only affect the Blue Palace then, however, and not Solitude homes in general (if I understand it correctly). I will look into this further later on though :)
Thank you for the comment <3

Now your thinking. Cracking idea. With permission of course. I just love mods growing. No one has done this referrence to the plant pots. Its either all change to the same or not. Just imagine how much more popular this mod would be with more than one plant pot design and options for laving the castle volhikar alone or even solitude for that matter. This needs to grow. Im tracking this beauty.

Unfortunately, like I said, limited modding abilities on my part :D But I'm learning. And one day I might expand this mod to those scales. For now, I'm trying out the Blue Palace only version :) Testing as we speak. Fingers crossed ;)

Omg omg. I just looked at your washbasins. How in the hell did i miss that. Jeewizz. You want this mod with that many options like that. An esp which is flagged as an esl so espfe. Imagine the esp file loaded with sseedit then edit each pot record to point to a custom .nif file. Then load that custom mesh in nifskope and then tell that mesh to point to certain .dds textures. Then load last below any other mods that edit similar then everyone will have them edits in priority load. Youtube for sseedit and nifskope tutorials. Sseedit on nexus and nifskope on github. You have talent and do not give up.......cracking custom folder in meshes then the meshes in question in that. As long as you point to it in the esp file your good.

Hehe, yeah, I know how to do these things in theory, but it's a damn load of work to do all that :D I would have to do that for every washbasin in game :D and then people would ask for mod-added basins and such :D same with the planters.
Unfortunately, my theory didn't pan out for the Extravagant Interiors ESP :( deleting the records made it crash and CK work was no help (it deleted the walls and floors altogether :D )
It's a shame that it wasn't an easy fix. For now, I'm leaving the mod as is without the Palace only version. I would have to make that from scratch. I will likely look into it more later though when I have the modding itch :)
