Patch for Fancy Washbasin Replacer uploaded on the mod's page :) Thank you again Mur4s4me. It went much faster than expected with that great tutorial of yours and the animation issue is resolved after the flag was ticked ;)
Downloading either this mod or wSkeever's Water in Wells is still necessary for the patch to work :)
Adding to that, if you use JK's Temple of Kynareth, I recommend checking Jeannetta182's mod out and download the JK's Temple of Kynareth - Animated Water Patch, in their Optional Files. JK added small water puddle manually in the water basins, which can cause some visual weirdness with my and their mod.
Will doing that give us a flat, still surface, or frozen ripples? I really like the look of the water in Interactive Wash Basins, but I'm exploring alterrnatives that are compatible with Sink of Scrubbing.
It will look like frozen ripples, unfortunately. If you want to use Interactive Wash Basins' mesh while using Sink of Scrubbing's features, you can do the following
Install both mods, but disable Interactive Wash Basin's ESP
Hi, have a problem and I hope someone can help me. If I activate this mod I get a warning on Mod Organizer 2 about a conflict with Water in Wells (from wSkeever). I want to use both of them. Is that possible? Is there really a conflict or its an error of Mod Organizer 2? Thanks for help and good day.
Noticed a mention about possibly not being compatible with Interactive Wash Basin. Thought I should mention that that mod has a selectable patch in it's FOMOD geared towards compatibility with mods like yours and states as much in the patch description. So it is compatible.
As I wrote in the description, that mod already seems to have its own water added, so a patch shouldn't be necessary.
If not, they are free to make a patch, should they be interested. Their mod permissions are very restricted while mine's open, with a tutorial in the sticky.
Weird, no matter where i put interactive wash basins in my load order, it didn't have any water in it, sorry to bother about it
As for the tutorial, i have a question if you wouldn't mind I tried following the tutorial to add the animated water from Animated Forge Water to the animal troughs (horsetrough01.nif) I found the Water NiNode from Animated Forge Water, followed your tutorial, and the water does appear in-game, only it lacks the animation, it's static Did I miss something or is there something else i should have done?
Sorry that I can't help further with Interactive Wash Basin! Maybe I'm wrong in assuming they added water in their mesh, but as I said, the mod author is free to patch it with my mesh if they want.
As for your other inquiry, you are right! I forgot 1 step which I will add when I'm home. Basically you need to change a flag to make the mesh "animate". I forgot the exact details so I'll look into it later. IIRC, you have to click on the BSXFlags node, right click on the flags number, and click "Flags". Then you check the box for "is animated" or something like that.
Check back this comment section tomorrow and you should see the tutorial updated with an extra step before "Save your file".
That was it, it works now. Never would have tried to check the BSXFlags flags I just selected the BSXFlags block from the block list, then right clicked on its integer data section and opened the flags, then just enabled the Animated flag Thanks a bunch!
So just coming back about Interactive Wash Basins. I actually tried it in-game to see how it looks, and I think the reason you thought it was empty is because it's very still (as water should be). In most lighting, the water will be barely noticeable. However, if a bright light source is around, and you're at the right angle. you will notice the water?, which has a slight sway too.
I'm unsure if the interior cell needs to have "has water" flagged for it to properly animate this way, since it seems to use actual water data from the game, but if an interior cell does have such a flag, it's a bit more noticeable.
Thanks for the info, i can't notice any water with interactive wash basins I'll just try to follow your tutorial and add the water from your mesh to theirs and see if that works
Like the subtle touch this adds to the wash basins. Planning on combining this with fancy wash basins in my load order.
I did encounter a slight odd issue. Which I'm positive is just on my end due to my load order and the mod I have overhauling the vanilla homes. But the wash basins in Breezehome, etc will take on the basin style if I use Fancy Wash Basins and will have water in them from this. But they lack the animation and appear as just a static water patch in the basin. I'm currently trying to shift thru xedit to see if I can find a noble wash basin nif and see if I can remove it so the only thing touching them is from this replacer.
I'm not quite sure How I'd go about trying to patch this myself sadly. Whether I can solve the issue or not tho I really love the little affect this gives to the basins in game from what little I've had a chance to test out. Thanks for making and sharing this!
1. Concerning Fancy Wash Basins, did you use their latest update? Previously, the meshes didn't have the flag to be "animated" because I forgot to add those steps in the tutorial. (now added in my tutorial; step 9 & 10). However, their latest update (1.1) should have that fixed.
2. What mod do you use to overhaul Breezehome? Some mods will add actual water puddle inside the wash basins (e.g. JK's Temple of Kynareth) and requires the puddle themselves to be disabled, if you want it to be consistent with our mesh edits. You can check by clicking on them with console command, and using More Informative Console, you can see if it was last edited/added by your mod (I assume so, since I don't remember a wash basin in vanilla Breezehome).
If you can tell me the mod you use, I can check it myself and, if possible, let you know how to remove the water puddles.
wow I had originally copied the mod's link and then turned around and forgot to actually paste it when I made that post lol, to much mod tweaking and troubleshooting distracted me. the only thing the console showed me editing it based off my load order was Fancy Wash Basins as I've been checking out the different basin styles in game to pick which one I want to go for lol. it was Anna's Vanilla Homes (Merged)
Also don't mention it on the words I may have a ridiculously large mod list? but I've kept my eye open for even small immersive type things like your mod and have made it a point to fit them into my load order. Sometimes, it's the little things that add just the right touch.
Alright so I was right. Anna's Vanilla Home adds water puddles to each of the wash basin, which is just like JK's Temple of Kynareth. You can see it if you click on the wash basin, and then type DISABLE to reveal the "hidden" water puddle.
I'll give that a go(I think i got all the correct options for each of the vanilla homes in her overhauls that included wash basins) I suspect I've also got some texture overhauls throwing off the fancy wash basins as I've tried enabled a few of the other basin styles to check in game for comparison but they aren't really changing so i either have another overhaul affecting those textures I need to sort out or I don't have all my patches in their proper order. Will go see if I can resolve that while I check to make sure the records I deleted were all the correct ones.
I'm hestitating to add this mod because of the constant moving water and water ripples. I mean, this basin is supposed to be still so I'd expect the water to ONLY react if something reacts to it such as ingredients falling inside or if the character uses it.
WOuld it be possible to have a much more flatter look on the basin's water? I like the idea but not the overwhelmed ripples and movement.

If you want to use Interactive Wash Basins' mesh while using Sink of Scrubbing's features, you can do the following
- Install both mods, but disable Interactive Wash Basin's ESP
- Open Sink Of Scrubbing's ESP in SSEEdit, and click on the Wash Basin Activator.
- On the right, scroll to the bottom
- Make the following changes to the Model and Water Type entries exactly as you see here
- Save the ESP
This will use Sink of Scrubbing's features, but will use the model from Interactive Wash Basin including the more natural water.I tried making it myself but with no success

If you wish for my mod (and by extension, Fancy Wash Basin) to be compatible, you need to open the mod in xEdit, and find all the Water1024 records and delete them, with the exception of xx02e3cc (replace xx with your load order), which is the water puddle for the basement bath.
