@Laerithryn, thanks for all your makeover mods, loving them and using them all!

Just FYI they can all be turned into ESPFEs by using the ESPFE_follower script in xEdit, except for Katria (because she has too many records).

Thank you for your kind words which are very much appreciated. I'll have to look into this script to see what it's doing because when I first went down that rabbit hole (albeit was for ESLs and not ESP-FE) everything I read regarding it was telling me not to do it. Specifically when it comes to compacting the form IDs, or that it would break the mod. The following spoiler is totally about ESLs and I don't know if any of it applies to ESP-FE. It was the information I found for making ESLs and was a reply to another post on another mod of mine to someone requesting an ESL. I know an ESP-FE is different, and I haven't looked into it enough to know if it involves compacting the form IDs which is what my mods won't allow for as they are vanilla characters and not custom ones.
      Spoiler:
      Show
SSEEdit comes with a script to find and report whether any given mod can be flagged successfully as an ESL.
The mods we’re looking for in the list that the script populates will be notated as, and only as:
"Can be turned into ESL by adding ESL flag in TES4 header"

Unfortunately, SSEEdit returned the following message report for Nenya.esp:
"Can be turned into ESL by compacting FormIDs first, then adding ESL flag in TES4 header"

Notice the difference between the two statements:
"Can be turned into ESL by adding ESL flag in TES4 header"
"Can be turned into ESL by compacting FormIDs first, then adding ESL flag in TES4 header"

Compacting Form ID's will break mods that have assets that rely on the original uncompacted Form ID. Non-exhaustive Examples:
NPC Facegen data (meshes & textures) that have their formID changed need to be renamed otherwise the dark face bug will occur.
.SEQ files need to be regenerated if the linked quest's formID changes or, the dialogue bug (dialogue missing until first reload) will appear.
Scripts using GetFormFromFile with a formID that changed need to be updated with the new formID and recompiled, or, they will break.

What this means is, DO NOT compact the Form ID's of mods that have generated FaceGenData, Scripts, or .SEQ (Dialogue) files. These would be mods like followers, DLC's, quests, animation mods, NPC overhaul mods, etc.

You might be thinking, "then why are other mod authors able to make ELS of their followers or NPCs"?

Answer: Custom followers or NPCs that are new without any patches, or other mods using or affecting them ARE able to compact their FormIDs without worry as the FormIDs are newly generated. However, any mod author who takes an existing vanilla character and overhauls them and compacts the vanilla FormIDs takes a huge risk of breaking things like saved games, and other mods that rely on the original unchanged FormIDs. That's how CTD issues are introduced into the system when someone takes risks out of ignorance, or indifference.

So, it doesn't look like Nenya's mod will be getting an ESL any time soon, sorry. Hopefully, this explains it all.

As a suggestion, you could merge Nenya with any other mod as an alternative method to conserve ESP space.

tried mods in the past with SCRIPTS, ESPFE or ESL (were it compacts form ID) will always break the scripts..  UNLESS the scripts are converted as well...

and yes their is a way to convert the scripts, to accept being ESPFE, but will still have a chance of the scripts causing CTD issues...

would be nice if it were possible to adopt her son if it were the case of marriage, or at lest get him to follow to new home and stay.
I can bring him using console bu he would just walk off. I don't have skill to do so
    Thanks

She has a 3BA/3BBB Body type which are both based on CBBE.

If you don't appreciate CBBE, I can only assume it's because you have an aversion to nudity. If that's the case, then this mod might not be your cup of tea. You could simply turn your head when giving her something else to wear and you'll be fine.

Looking forward to 2.0.  Could there be a version without the visual overhaul and just the dialogue?

@Laerithryn, just FYI the changes you made to the kid (Gralnach (sp?) conflict with the child overhaul The Kids Are Alright (i.e., TKAA), but the conflict doesn't show up in xEdit for some reason. If your mod overwrites TKAA the kid will have blackface because -- according to xEdit -- TKAA is still winning the conflict. If I load your mod before TKAA and hide the kid's texture/mesh changes in your mod, then he'll have the TKAA face without blackface. I'm not a modder so I'm not sure what the issue is -- my assumption is that the ESP does not include the kid's face records, which is why they aren't showing up in xEdit while Grosta's are (but that's just speculation on my part).

Unfortunately, things aren't lining up time-wise currently and it will take a bit longer than expected. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Is this compatible with Flower Girls adventures; Grosta is one of the NPCs involved with that

Should be, though I haven't tested that, so let me know if you do.

But seriously, have you looked at the vanilla version of Grosta? Who would want to include that in their sex mod? That was one of the reasons I wanted to overhaul her. The other was to help her and her son out in a dire situation.

You should be fine. This is the same Grosta as in vanilla with a few small exceptions, like:

      • a visual make-over
      • inventory change, adding two outfits, and changing her weapon type
      • custom class
      • custom combat style

She's neither mentioned in list of "quest participants" on Amorous Adventures SSE page nor is she a part of SexLab-AmorousAdventures.esp provided on Flower Girls SE and VR page (unless I just missed her mention there, which is entirely possible), so as a result I think this mod is compatible with both versions and More adventures for Flower Girls. As for Sexlab Devious Stories - no idea. Don't have or use that mod.

She is added to flower girls' adventures not Amorous Adventures. There should be no issues except talking if any lines were modified. but there should be none based on the description.

Firstly, thanks for this mod - seems like a cool idea to make various NPC's nicer looking but also give them things to do after finishing their quest! So I was able to get her as a follower and all, but for some reason she won't equip any piece of armor I give her, not even the armor included in her chest. Is there a mod required to get her to auto-equip items or is there something I'm not doing right? I'm NOT using AFT or anything that messes with followers so I'm not sure if it's an AI bug or specific to this mod.

Either way, thanks for the mod, I like this idea!

The Armor has to be rated better than their base equipment So you might try a better armor and if her armor defaults to being in her storage you can then remove it. otherwise, you will need a follower mod or a clothing mod to remove her outfit and change it.

I'm very much a smooth-brain and also this is the first follower mod I've ever downloaded after 300 hours. I did her husband quest and turned it in, I can take everything from her chest, but I'm still not seeing an option to recruit her. As you said you fixed this earlier, despite being gorged on turkey and mashed potatoes, I'm just assuming this is my own problem for being dumb. Can anyone give me tips? Thanks!

I'm also having trouble/lacking the option to recruit. Sorry this doesn't help but hoping it brings attention to our issues :)

Have you tried starting a fresh new game, then teleport to her directly using command console code: (coc heartwoodmill)? Without brackets of course. Although it shouldn't matter really, try placing last in load-order. I use profiles in Vortex with a Vanilla Profile for testing which works like a charm. Did either of you have any conflicts during install, and if so, did you allow this mod to over-write?

Just started a new game so I'll try to recruit her again that way. I did receive a conflict when re-installing the mod: RSSE Children Overhaul 1.1.3 with hotfix 1, no other issues and I did allow the mod to over-write that mod.

Edit - New game does not grant the follow option either. Also going to mention, playing on AE.

Sorry, Vander1249, I'm still using SE and it seems to work fine for most people downloading it. I'd have to wager AE is breaking the "follow me" option for you, somehow. Although I'll admit I'm not sure. I rolled back after the update as it broke the majority of the  334 mods I use.  If running (any version) of RSSE Children, you will get a conflict, as I've changed the color of Gralnach's hair, (Grosta's son) to match her's.

If you're interested in troubleshooting on your end and providing your mod manager supports it, try running a lean profile as close to vanilla as possible with only Alternate Start, essential updates, bug fixes, and a few utility mods if possible? It may help, not sure, it could just be AE.

Sounds good, I'll give it a shot, had a feeling AE would be to blame :S but love the work and truly hope you continue to create! I'll do my best to find a way to make her work and enjoy your hard work! Thanks again!

Also go into xedit and make sure nothing is overwriting the mod or more correctly Grosta herself. Another issue is to make sure you are at least level 2 friend with her to open up the new options of companionship. I myself use my own mod to do the same thing but I may try this for the additional talking lines.
