COTN Falkreath redirected to custom texture paths for its own dedicated textures. Placeholder vanilla textures included, no custom textures.

COTN Falkreath uses vanilla textures from Farmhouses, Whiterun, Solitude, Windhelm, and Riften. These are very disparate textures, and many modders have an extremely wide variety of texture replacers that we use, some hand sorted from various different packs. With such a setup vanilla texture paths comprised of various cities looks fairly terrible.

I have manually redirected all the textures in COTN Falkreath to a custom folder. I have built my own custom texture pack using other's resources which you can see as pictured. I have not included these textures due to permissions issues, instead I may go back through my resources and figure out where I compiled these from and post links/seek out permissions. I have instead included vanilla textures in the new folder so you know what to replace.

The optional file consists of an optional addition I made for the patched COTN Falkreath for JK's Skyrim. This includes vanilla farmhouse pieces (using open permission SMIM resources where applicable, otherwise uses vanilla meshes) replaced to my custom texture path fields. Nearly everything is replaced for a consistent look through all parts.

This was a lot of work, hence my lack of desire to make a non JK dependent version of my addon part. To put the amount of work this was into perspective, each COTN interior mesh part is partitioned hundreds of times, in some cases thousands. That's a lot of copy paste. I'm sure there's an easier way to do it, but my laziness ensured I manually replaced all paths in nifscope. Ouch.


FULL Texture Path Documentation: Reference for what each texture replaces:
  • dullmetalbronze: Replaces bronze parts, particularly on watch towers. I have not remapped parts that use vanilla cubemaps (those parts will use my custom diffuse/normal path, but will use vanilla path cubemap).
  • Farmhouse01: This replaces door frame parts, mostly in the vanilla jail basement. Relevant for the JK verison patch primarily, maybe for a few other parts as well.
  • HHFloor01: Many stairs, stone floors, etc. Various stone trimmings as well.
  • HHSteps01: Only for exterior Hrothgar stairs in JK plugin.
  • HHSteps02: Primarily for exterior Horthgar stairs in JK plugin, may be used a few times elsewhere.
  • Riftenhouseplanks01: Various wood panelings on most COTN architecture pieces.
  • Riftenlogsiding01: Various wood panelings on most COTN architecture pieces.
  • Riftenplazabrick02: Used on the gate/wall defences as both the ceiling and floor.
  • RiftenSiding01: Various wood panelings on most COTN architecture pieces.
  • Riftenstonewalledge01: Don't recall where this is used, if it is used at all. 
  • Rope01, used throughout on various houses. Used in farmhouse pieces in JK plugin.
  • sroofslate: Used on some roof parts.
  • stonefloor01: used wherever farmhouse stone floor would've been used in vanilla farmhouse pieces in JK.
  • Stonewall01: Used on both JK and COTN farmhouse stone walls.
  • Stonewall02: Used on both JK and COTN Farmhouse stonewall 02 parts with a couple of exceptions (e.g. well lining).
  • Stonewall02platform: Custom texture for JK plugin: Used for stone lining in the well jail cell in the prison, as well as the stone platform the jarl sits on. Redirected from Stonewall02 so farmhouse parts (e.g. wells) can use a separate lining from interior parts that use this lining.
  • whlogend: Used on various COTN parts where there are wood edges.
  • WHwoodbaseinterior01: Used on most COTN pieces as general wood.
  • WHWoodBaseTrim: Used on several COTN pieces as decorative wood parts, e.g. in the House of Arkay interior above the beds.
  • Woodpost02: used primarily in JK plugin replacement parts.
  • Woodwalkway01: Used primarily in JK plugin farmhouse paths/interiors. In my images I have made a custom edit of the riftensiding I use (Noble Skyrim) with the number of planks to match correctly with wood pathways.
  • WRCarvedPanels01: I don't recall where this is used, but it is certainly used by COTN architecture.
  • wrstockade01: used on stockade pieces that just out of COTN architecture. In my JK plugin I did not bother replacing the stockade walls with this texture.
  • wrstoneblocks01: I believe this is used in various stairs and linings. In my personal setup I have replaced this with aduplicate of HHFloor01, I personally think that looks better.
  • wrwindows01: Windows of COTN architecture

My personal texture picks that I remember:
Riften woods: NobleSkyrim.
Woodwalkway: Modified NobleSkyrim riften wood. Will require permission to upload. 
Farmhouse Stonewall01/02: HQ Farmhouses SSE/LE.
Windhelm Woods: I believe NobleSkyrim, but I can't say for sure.
Again, none of these are included in my download. I have placed example VANILLA textures just so you know what files you need to replace.
