The

Welcome to my most extensive undertaking to date. It will inject a quite a bit of life into the mythical land of Chanterelle which has been created by the mad scientist, Dr. Vactrol.  If you haven't tried Chanterelle yet... like, OMFG what are you waiting for!  It's the one mod that has stunned me like no other - a giantic, verdant frontier worldspace that is beautifully crafted. It is perfect for survivalists and adventurers of any breed.

The main concept here is to introduce wildlife that fits the environment. In this lush and primitive land, it seemed highly appropriate to add creatures from bygone eras, along sort of a “Land that Time Forgot” motif.

You will find a number of very large beasts, such as Stegosaurs and Ceratops, but also many feathered Hadrosaurs and smaller creatures to fill out the ecosystem. Most of these NPCs tend to be herbivorous and non-aggressive. However, not all fit that description, and it is possible to get on the wrong side of many others, so you will have to be careful and ready to run madly at any moment.

Crafting stations have been added to a number of locations, including blacksmithing, alchemy and enchanting equipment. There are also some secrets for you to find, including loot and unexpected NPCs. 5 well-equipped outposts have been constructed as well, in discreet locations. Rabid survivalists may choose to ignore these, but they are great for emergencies.

Since this mod is huge and employs so many diverse elements, something is bound to need revision or repair. Thanks to Farazon and Vactrol himself for performing some rather extensive beta testing prior to release. I will monitor this page and produce updates or fixes as needed.

Installation is simple: you get one .esp and a .bsa archive. Due to the scope and nature of this mod, ESL-flagging was not possible. On the flipside, you get a lot for your slot.

Tips and tricks
There is one variable that can be useful to observe about the creatures you will encounter, colour. A simple caveat might read “watch out for anything red”. The best example is the red-tipped hadrosaur. It has a significant red component to the horns on its head. This big old bird is very fast and will chase you once you’ve gotten too close to it. Cliff-diving quickly becomes an attractive option. Other large beings may display red skin and snarl at you from a distance, both useful cues.

There are new butterflies and fish, each with potentially useful alchemical properties. They can all be found in abundance in lush, verdant Chanterelle. The alchemy stations may look different here, but function perfectly well. There are caches of interesting items, such as empty soul gems hidden about, generally near man-made structures. A grand total of 5 of the new animals can be ridden, if you find the right one. There is of course the mod Wild Horses of Chanterelle which offers similar transportation in somewhat greater abundance.

In accordance with the spirit of Chanterelle, the world will be yours to explore and conquer.  Everyone has there own style and ~300 mods to go with it, so you will all have a unique set of experiences.  Our job is to give you enough to work with. This addition can certainly help you with that.

The creatures: Gorgonops, Lycaenops, Durzogs & Gremlins were created by Mihail Romanov (MihailMods)

Ceratopsids, Stegosaurs, Hadrosaurs, Dimorphodons, Oviraptors and Otters come to you courtesy of Skinwalker21

New butterflies and moths are adapted from the work of zzjay, and employ meshes from wiseman303
There are certain special horses constructed by Holugar and ported to SE by guitardz

The furry rugs under some bedrolls are by Gamwich, whose Rugnarok is highly recommended.

A ton of stuff comes directly from Vactrol and a lot more of what you will see is inherited from Chanterelle, which has its own impressive list of contributors.

I hope you hold all these visionaries in reverence as I do, for making our dreams come to life.

Please send a PM if anything, or anyone was overlooked here!
