    Hello,

I have upgraded to 1170 and I am now getting an error with your excellent mod that worked perfectly with 640.

The error is -   Unknown error; JSON syntax

    Any suggestions?

      Hi!

      Possible solutions:
      1. Reinstall mod.
      2. Reinstall MCM Helper (get 1.5.0 version).

      Hi there,

No improvement after doing the re-install's.

Check everything step by step. Make sure you have mods in the right version. All works fine, test below:

      Hello again,

Sorry for the back and forth.

Quick Light works fine for me without your mod. I checked all of the things you suggest and no change.

My version of MCM Helper is 1.5.0 and my Skyrim info is 1.6.1170.0.8 (SKSE 2.,2.,6 rel 72).

It looks like I am the only person who has this issue, so don't spend any more time on it. I suspect that it is some other mod/dll that is creating the issue with your mod.

Thanks for all of your help 😊

      Hi :)

Do not worry, I have one mod in work, that will help with bugs like this one. When I will finish it, we will be able to figure out where is the problem for sure.

But for now, we can try to find the culprit manually, maybe something is wrong with specific file. Just zip all these mods from your load order and send to me:
      MCM Helper
Quick Light SE - Settings Loader

      Also add these logs:
      [Path to my documents]\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Logs\Script\Papyrus.0.log
      [Path to my documents]\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\skse64.log
      [Path to my documents]\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\MCMHelper.log

I will test them myself. The error you have means that JSON config has wrong format. We will try to find why.

You can use Discord for fast help. My nick is the same as here.

I did not have Papyrus logging enabled. I have just done so. I will run another test and then zip the file for you to review.

Any chance of a patch for Fuelable Lanterns for Quick Light? I understand you're very busy and this is a very niche mod, but I would greatly appreciate it!

This one is not working for me - the mod does appear in the list but the settings are not visible. My Papyrus log shows this. My main LO has QL and its SJG patch merged, but I've checked in stripped-down LO and the behaviour is the same.

Use the spoiler tag to hide the log.

According to the log the error does not affect MCM but the script: aaaQLPlayerAliasScript.psc.
[alias Player on quest aaaQLQuest (0E000D62)].aaaQLPlayerAliasScript.SetLightSourcePass() - "aaaQLPlayerAliasScript.psc" Line 122So you need to see which of your mods is overwriting the aaaQLPlayerAliasScript.psc.

There is also a possibility that you have merged the plugins incorrectly and changed the record IDs, so the script cannot find the correct player record.

Please try this mod with QL without merging it, as it is likely that this error is the result of plugin merging.

I hope we can find a solution to this problem.

yeah in my main LO it's merged (as per Lexy LoTD Guide) but for the small LO test it was not merged. I'll revisit the small LO test to make sure nothing's overwriting that script.

Anyway you could add functionality to this similar to Quick Light for Followers? I'd like my followers to automatically equip a lantern when I do, perhaps configurable in this MCM? Thank you!

I've been looking at a few of your mods for my load order. Quick question, will these work across multiple profiles in MO2?

Also, MCM Helper updated, will it that matter?

You need to copy settings file "MCM/Settings/Modname.ini".

Also, MCM Helper updated, will it that matter?
According to the MCM Helper wiki, MCM Helper should be backwards compatible.
