Q?: everything: A: (19/Mar/2022) Yes, I'm going to be starting more significant updates to this mod very soon, the following is a list of items I'm intending to complete in my free time in the next few months.
Topaz Gigapixel AI upscaling of all textures to 4K and 8K resolutions (Example).
Patch compatibility for my soon to be released DP Mask mod, Which will include:
Proper Beast race models (WIP) (WIP) (WIP) (WIP) (not 100% new, but based on existing models to maintain texture compatibility with other mods).
Topaz Gigapixel AI upscaling of vanilla textures as a base (Standalone Available), but use whatever texture mod you like.
Eye slits that are fitted to the textures of Apophysis and any other potential texture mod. (WIP) (WIP, WIP) (WIP, WIP) (WIP, WIP, WIP) (WIP, WIP, WIP)
Future polygon up-scaling of hoods and masks (likely a V2 addition)
It's own patch for Konahrik's Accoutrements to take into account the hood fix to match that mods clothing, but retain the models added by this new mod.
This will effectively make Improved closefaced helmets a not issue, use ICFH for other helmets and the new mod for the DP Masks with Apophysis or other texture mod, I'm specifically designing the new mod for these reasons. It will roll ICFH, HDPM as well as beast race versions (to which I do not know of a really good mod that does that, ICFH is fine, but... Look up! Roger Roger!) all in one for use with any texture addition (although custom eye slit compatibility will require a patch on the texture artists side, which is very VERY simple) Apophysis will get it the same day the new mod is released I already have them ready.
Dragonborn DLC textures, I have them semi prepared, I just need to put in the time.
Rebuild of Morokei and the Wooden mask.
Environmental Maps for metallic textures.
Some more interesting FX for a few of the masks, probably a v3 addition.
Any chance you can add in a Mask for Vahlok on Solstheim? Only Dragon Priest with no mask of his own. I just made a mod request today in the forums about this in fact lol
Ok cool. I just figured you would only be doing the normal 3 that most other mods cover. Vahlok does not actually have a mask at all in the game so no other mod has ever touched him but it makes sense that he should have one. I mean the guy was more powerful than Miraak after all.
Just realized my post would've made more sense here, but I can't delete! Anyway, short summary is I would be so grateful a patch for Open Dragon Priest Masks by calyps (ported mod from Oldrim to SSE here). This is what they looked like when patched in Oldrim, aren't they absolutely gorgeous?? Thank you for your consideration!
Wondering if we could get a % progress update on the WIP mod? I wouldn't normally ask such a thing here, but it's been over a year and I'm hoping not abandoned.
For those who want to use both mods at once (strongly recommend)! In order for the new textures from the Apophis Priest Dragon mod to display correctly on open helmets from the Enhanced Closed Helmets mod, you need this patch: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18039?tab= files & file_id = 57505 & nmm = 1 I hope I helped someone save a couple of extra minutes! Installed the Konahrik's Accoutrements mod and the patch and the improved closefaced helmets mod meshes are still taking priority somehow... This mod is up in the load order and all...
Never mind, did a little searching and found a patch someone else did for this, but will post the link for anyone else that wants the patch for convenience sake.
Would also like to know. Initially I had this problem with Volsung but now Vokun's giving me issues. Vanilla tex in inventory, modded tex on character with ICH patch.
Did y'all manage to find a fix? Vokun's mask showing up vanilla to me in inventory but when put on.. It's the Apophysis one. Also, the buffs are not applying using Apophysis, MLU, and LOTD with it. :/
I'm using this and the ICH patch for this mod and for the life of me I can't figure out why Volsung's textures don't show up in the inventory/overworld but do when equipped.
Hi, I love your mod and I think It looks wonderful. But I can't get it to work with Cathedral armory, anyone know a way to overwrite the cathedral textures with the textures from Apophysis?
I had the same problem. All the masks except hevnoraak, nahkriin, vokun, and krosis worked. For some reason, cathedral will overwrite apophysis no matter what with its generic looking textures, I almost mistook it for vanilla. I've tried every combination of load order with no luck. I've been trying to figure it out for awhile, and I just worked a solution. Is the the proper/best solution? Who knows, but it worked.
Open up the cathedral armory file in your mod manager directory. I'm on MO2, so I found the mod in the list, right click, open in explorer.
There will be 2 folders: meshes and textures.
Go into each and find: dragonpriesthelms - in the meshes folder dragonpriesthelm - in the textures folder
Don't delete these, just move them somewhere else like on your desktop but not in the cathedral armory master file. Keep them in case you need them later, then just drag them back where you found them. Load apophysis masks after cathedral. Bam- you should have the awesome mask textures :)
Just the textures, or the meshes as well? EDIT - doesn't matter, that didn't work for me. Unless you meant you uninstalled the .esp version and just installed the loose version instead.
Thank you for sharing your work :) I have a question about your patch for Konahrik's Accoutrements in optional files section (version 1.11SE, uploaded on March 30, 2022).
It has several SSEEDIT errors - https://pastebin.com/1BSzwc0M, which might be due to missing master files (neither Apophysis_DPM_SE.esp nor konahrik_accoutrements.esp is master file of your patch and I think at least konahrik_accoutrements.esp should be a master file of your patch).
May I ask you whether you can check those errors when you update your mod? To be sure, I reinstalled Konahrik's Accoutrements (version 5.5.3 uploaded on January 1, 2019), your mod (version 1.11SE uploaded on December 10, 2016 with esp and bsa), and your patch but errors still exist.
