PREREQUISITE
• Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID)
DESCRIPTION
Tired of seeing your friend Hod of Riverwood eaten alive by some feral animal or receiving an inheritance letter out of nowhere because the talented Adrianne Avenicci has passed away in the middle of Whiterun at the fangs of vampires?
Fear no more for the lives of the good citizens of Skyrim! This mod uses SPID distribution system to make about 500 unique NPCs protected (only YOU will be able to murder them to suit your whims and fancies) or essential (immortal), without editing Actor records. One less flag to hand-patch on hundreds of records in your custom NPCs patch (if you indulge in the pleasures of such a thing).

INSTALLATION
Install with your favorite mod manager, pick your version and enjoy :)
COMPATIBILITY
The Protected/Essential flag from this mod will erase any flag your other mods might set or delete. For example, if your choose the Protected version and you also have the great mod Meeko Reborn by Vaelka, Meeko will loose his Essential flag added by the mod in favor of Protected. If it annoys you, delete the NPCs you want from the INI file.
NOTES
The spell remains on NPCs but it is harmless as the effect applies only once. You can even remove it with any NPC manager you want (you would even uninstall the mod), it won't matter, the NPC will still be protected/essential in your save unless you flag them otherwise with the console or whatever you want.
You can customize the INI file before starting your game: search for the name of a NPC (FormID, EditorID or first name) and delete anyone you don't want to be protected/essential.

TobesTobelle for pointing out my very bad choice of plugin name (I'm sorry if I offended anyone, it was out of sheer ignorance).
