I refuse to apologize if this image haunts your dreams.

These Nord are simple folk, after all, and too easily swayed by the sight of fine clothes and a purse full of Septims.

what is this

I love Apachii Divine Elegance. It has to be the #1 Skyrim clothing mod both in quantity and quality. And in my game, I want to see NPCs wearing all of those fancy clothes, not just my PC and followers. But historically it is very difficult to maintain an outfit patch for NPCs, with the exception of a few NPCs like Elisif who have individual outfits in the vanilla game, because outfits are a property on the NPC record, which also gets targeted by all kinds of mods, and it's hard adding outfits as one more variable into that mix. This is a problem that SPID solves, because we can distribute outfits (among many other things) to NPCs without editing their records.

So I've been dressing up NPCs like that bard from Hearthfire you never see. Look, if there are bard clothes out there, I'm going to dress bards up in them.

At the invaluable suggestion of NexusMods user Cecell, I have added Nazeem to this mod. Apologies to all users for this oversight as Nazeem clearly should have been included from the start. By way of making amends, I offer the community two Nazeem variants.

Lore Nazeem is quite simply the best-dressed man in Skyrim. His fit is unimpeachable and he doesn't mind if you know it, you filthy peasant. Erikur stays up at nights crying because he buys the same clothes but somehow can't achieve the same look.

I knew from the second I saw Cecell's post that I had to use the Divine Elegance Rebel Prince armor to offer you all my Pretty Nazeem. He may not be particularly lore-friendly, but I think he looks great.

which npcs does this affect

List here.

update: added nenya, niranye, hillevi cruel-sea, and alfhild battle-born in addition to lore and pretty nazeem variants

compatibility & technical details

SPID Main File

ESL-flagged ESP plugin won't take up a slot in your load order.

Compatible with 100% of NPC overhauls of all sorts, such as AI Overhaul, Bijin mods, Immersive Weapons (SPID and regular distribution), etc.

Incompatible with other mods that add outfits to the same NPCs using SPID.
Incompatible with mods that add outfits to the same NPCs using scripts, like Armor and Clothing Extension, in the sense that the script will win.

There is an optional patch for users of SAM and Racemenu bodygen morphs (like 8 people, but I'm one of them I guess) that will set the bodies of male NPCs affected by this patch to have Samuel and Samson values of zero. This is because there is no SAM refit for Divine Elegance to my knowledge and I wanted the NPCs to look consistent when naked, but things will probably more or less work without it. If you use another male body slider like HIMBO, you can edit my patch to work for those sliders as well -- it's just a text file.

Armor and Clothing Extension Optional Patch

An optional patch that does not use SPID or require the main file. Instead it patches Elisif, Brynjolf, Maven, Siddgeir, and Bryling's outfits from vanilla and Armor and Clothing Extension. It requires that mod. I don't use SPID for NPCs covered by Armor and Clothing Extension because, again, scripts win.

coming soon

There is a 100% chance that I will swap around outfits and add more NPCs to this mod.

This is ESL trash that is only possible because Apachii Divine Elegance exists in all its glory. SPID has solved so many problems for me and this mod relies on it 100%. The NPCs in the screenshots have faces from overhauls like Bijin, Kalilies, Pandorable's, PoeticAnt (Pride of Skyrim and Courageous Women), and eeekie's, patched together using EasyNPC, which lives up to the name. They have skins such as Bijin, Mature, the Pure, Skysight, Tempered, and SAM Light Texture Pack, distributed with zEBD. I use Racemenu body morphs and jbs2bg to distribute SAM and CBBE bodies to NPCs.
