About this mod

A collection of 14 subtle "4K Milky Way" recolors from the wonderful "4K Stars and Galaxies" mod, all named after the deities of Tamriel. This mod was made for users of ENBs with limited night sky adjustments (specifically those that affect the galaxy texture) and over-saturated or very bright galaxies but ENB is not required.

About:
I recently switched from LE to SE and I decided to use Silent Horizons ENB. I wanted to keep my previous galaxy texture but noticed that with Silent Horizons, I could not adjust the brightness, curve, intensity, etc. of the galaxy and it was extremely bright and blown out. I read in the forums that the easiest solution would be to edit the galaxy texture itself so that's what I did. During the process, I played with colors and decided to post multiple options to appeal to different tastes. I hope you like it and if you do, please endorse 4K Stars and Galaxies by apinanaivot. All of the credit for this mod goes to this amazing artist so please give them some love. Also, please post screenshots! I'd love to see your Milky Way pictures! :)

RESULTS WILL VARY!
Please keep in mind that this mod wasn't made to work with every setup. It's very possible that the textures will be too bright or too faint depending on what ENB and/or weather mod(s) you are using as well as your personal tastes. I have included screenshots showing the textures on three different ENBs/Weather setups to showcase how different the results can be.

Installation:
Install with your preferred manager and select what galaxy you would like in the FOMOD.

For manual installation (Not recommended):
Download the mod manually and extract it. Select the folder for the galaxy you wish to install, open it, and copy the "textures" folder and the contents to your Skyrim Special Edition Data folder.


Uninstallation:
Uninstall with your preferred mod manager.

To manually uninstall (Not recommended): Remove the following file from your Skyrim Special Edition Data folder:
Data\textures\sky\skyrimgalaxy.dds


FAQ:

Why does my galaxy look different from the pictures?
This mod was made specifically for people who would like the 4K Milky Way texture, but use ENBs that brighten or over-saturate the skies. If you're not experiencing this issue, it's very possible that the galaxy will be very faint or hard to see on your setup. Results will always vary depending on your ENB and weather mod(s).

Will you make a subtle version of "X" mod?
Unlikely. I made this galaxy mod for personal use and the only reason I posted it is because the permissions for "4K Stars and Galaxies" were open. That usually isn't the case for most mods. You can send me a request but the chances of making it happen are slim.

Will this mod work without ENB?
Yes. Just keep in mind that the results may not be what you'd expect since it was made to be used with certain ENBs.
