BTW, I've extended the mod to cover Ash-Spawn and Seeker remains from Dragonborn, I meant to add Wisp Cores as well but it seems I forgot (I only realised when I was packing up and testing the installer). If anybody really wants Wisp Cores added I can, I'm pretty sure the base game will remove them eventually though, and you're unlikely to get any in towns etc, so it's probably not really important...
Thanks to Erhabenheit, I've uploaded a German translation. Go give him some kudos if you download it
I'm just testing this out, and I've noticed that bodies that collapse on their own, after you killed their necromancer, will leave no ash pile. It's like the ash pile vanishes immediately. The only ones that stay are the ones that are killed directly.
I can't be certain it's this mod but it may be incompatible with SkyrimVR. With this mod installed, I've been getting CTD's shortly after generating an ash pile. But the game is fine without it. I know all it does is add a little script but wskeever's pickpocket mod also added a little script that turned out not to be compatible in VR either.
A bit late but yes it works. I got this mod since the Plague of the Dead zombies that leave ash piles when killed with Dawnbreaker would never seem to go away even if I waited 30 ingame days.
1) what´s the difference between bsa archive and loose script? which one shall i install? 2) what is the time in vanilla settings the game will delete the ash piles? do you know, how fast/slow the time in game is (without using your mod)? 3) is this safe to use? does it break anything? i´ve read, markfordelete is not always the best order/choice. but "disable" is also not very much satisfying... maybe using both together?
Loose files will always overwrite bsa. So if you think you have a mod that altered ash piles, you should take the loose files and you probably have to overwrite some files and end up with conflicts you need to patch in xedit (not always the case)
If you don't have anything that altered ash piles you should take bsa. Or loose files doesn't matter really, because it's a small file. Bsa also tends to load faster. But because the file is small, it doesn't matter.
I don't know the time for it to disappear, but cells will reset after 30 in game days. (30x24 hours)
Safe to use? Probably. Not sure what you mean with 'safe'. Will it break your game? Depends on your modlist. But no it wont break anything. If so, just uninstall and load up a save before you installed this mod.
