About this mod

Sync the in-game world time with real life.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Changelogs
Donations
With this mod, the in-game time of day will match the real world time of day. Optionally, you can also make it so that 1 in-game minute lasts 1 real life minute (but see the note about Timescale in the FAQ).

Hard Requirements:
SKSE
JContainers

Soft Requirements:
SkyUI (needed for the MCM)

Potential Mod compatibility Issues:
iNeed - There is an option in iNeed which can change the TimeScale of your world. This can override the GTS setting. Thus, make sure you disable that feature in the iNeed MCM.
*For other mods which do the same thing, follow the same advice.

FAQ:

Does this synchronize the environment (like the position of the sun) or just the clock displayed in the menu?
Both.

How can I set the mod to my timezone?
You need to set it manually in the MCM.

What happens if you wait/sleep/fast travel/take a carriage?
The clock will automatically re-sync afterwards. For greater immersion, you can also disable waiting in the MCM menu.

How accurate will in-game time be?
It may go out of sync with real time (possible by a handful of minutes). You can control the rate at which this happens using the timescale setting (but beware!). Fortunately, the clock automatically re-synchronizes whenever you do certain things.

When does the clock automatically re-sync?
1- When you load a saved game.
2- After you enter a place that you haven't visited in a while (ie an unloaded cell). This should cover most times after you fast travel or hire a carriage.
3- After you close a menu which pauses the game (such as the inventory menu, the favourites menu, the wait/sleep menu, etc.).

What does the Timescale option in the MCM do?
It sets the ratio of real time to in-game time. In other words, 1 real life minute will be equal to X in-game minutes, where X is the number that you set here.
The higher you set this number, the quicker your in-game clock will become out of sync with real time. In un-modded Skyrim, this value is set to 20.0; reset it to that if you are uninstalling this mod.

Can timescale be set to 1.0?
Yes and no. Ideally, it would be 1.0 by default so that in-game time would perfectly match real time. However, the game just isn't fully compatible with that and setting timescale too low can cause problems. Setting it to ~8.0 is recommended and very safe; though some say 5 or even 2 is fine.

Can I disable the mod?
Yes, that's in the MCM. This will disable all re-synchronizations. However, the timescale ratio will stay at
whatever you last set it to.

Does it also sync up the day of the week?
No, nor the month. Just the time of day.

Do I still get the rested buffs that I normally get from sleeping?
Yes.

(New in V1.1.3) What happens if I stop playing Skyrim for a day or more?
Each time you load a game, the mod will try to detect if it is a different real life day than when you last played. If it has been 23 hours (approx.) or more since you last played, then the mod will increase the in-game day by one. Thus, if you stop playing and then come back 24 hours later, it will be the next day in-game as well.
