Q: I use a ported version of this mod on <insert platform> and I have a problem. Can you help? A: I don't provide any support for third party ports on other platforms than the Steam and GOG English SE and AE versions of Skyrim. If you have issues, you should adress the person that ported it.
I notice that BUVARP has some worldspace conflicts with Dunpar Wall and also with Arthmoor's Falkreath.
I don't suppose you use either of these mods, or would be interested in patching the conflicts? Of course I understand if not - I've got not idea how long working in the CK takes, because I've never tried it!
Posting here instead of DFNF - Kesh has invisible face textures. The BUVARP patch was loading after PJKJ, textures and all, Kesh had his invisible face. I set the patch textures to be overwritten by PJKJ, using the Vortex lightning bolt conflict resolution, Kesh still had no face, even after disable/recycleactor/enable on him. The patch itself is loading after both BUVARP and PJKJ in the load order. I tried to force Vortex to load the PJKJ patch before PJKJ, but it was not allowed due to PJKJ being a master for the BUVARP patch. I am stuck on how to fix this.
You need to make sure that the ESP from the BUVARP + PJKJ Patch wins the conflict, as well as its facegen files. If anything overrides those you get the issue you're having. Or just use this mod.
After an uninstall/reinstall of the BUVARP patch, this is the load order information. I don't know of anything else that affects Kesh or Khajiit. BUVARP RE - 3A Only Cure Quest Exp - FE(0A6) PJKJ - FE(109) BUVARP PJKJ patch - FE(10A) BUVARP Only Cure Patch - FE(149) The Only Cure/USSEP patches - FE(24D)
Checking SSEEdit, all is green, no overwrites between PJKJ and the BUVARP patch. I can't see any overwrites by anything else, and the facegen must be packed into the mod, no facegen overwrites shown at all. Dark Face Fix does not do anything, Kesh's face textures remain invisible.
Something must be changing/reverting the facegen, but I have no idea what it might be.
New LO: BUVARP RE - 3A Only Cure Quest Exp - FE(0A6) PJKJ - FE(109) The Only Cure/USSEP patches - FE(10A) BUVARP PJKJ patch - FE(10B) BUVARP Only Cure Patch - FE(14A)
Unfortunately, no changes - Kesh's face still invisible, except for beard. More Informative Console only shows 4 files affecting Kesh (both aliases base quest and TOC), as I read it: Skyrim.esm BUVARP SE RE.esp PJKJ (.esp) BUVARP - PJKJ patch (.esp)
I am completely stumped... Sorry to be such a bother.
FYI - moving the BUVARP Only Cure Exp patch to also load before the BUVARP PJKJ patch likewise changed nothing. Is it bad that I have memorized the save number? (j/k)
I had to load up FK's diverse racial skeletons and FNIS to avoid untangling some dependencies from earlier height edits, but Kesh still had no facial features, and still had his beard from PJKJ. BTW - sent you a kudos, you ALWAYS are so helpful. Thanks.
One last question - where would I have to place the facegen .nif and .dds files (or their respective mesh/texture folders) to force the game to treat them as loose files? I know about the concept, but not too familiar w/the game structure.
For anyone seeing this issue, I simply deleted the mesh and texture for Kesh in the patch's loose files and his face is back to normal. I have no idea if this will cause issues in the future, but my guess is that there is something wrong with the files that is causing the face data to be blank. For what I did, I just deleted the mesh and texture files with Kesh's ID: 00089986.
Q: Will you make a patch for <insert mod>? A: Only if it's a mod I use myself or plan on using, I have enough time and I actually like the idea. Otherwise, feel free to do it yourself. (see permissions)
Not that I know of. You might need to look up "CK landscape editing" on YouTube, but I don't know. If you don't know the CK, the best bet would be to find someone else that is willing to patch it.
I wanted to report a possible bug - if this is wrong place, please let me know and I will remedy.
I seem to have a CTD issue at game launch when attempting to use the patch for Return Aegisbane. I am double checking all my mods to see if there is something secretly interfering - which is what I believe is happening, maybe even an artifact mod? I dunno, will post success - that is simply exacerbated with the patch enabled.
Here is my info regarding BUVARP, Return Aegisbane, and this patch:
MO2 Load Order: BUVARP SE RE.esp (v 1.3.3) Return Aegisbane (v 1.2) BUVARP SE RE - Return Aegisbane Patch
I did just now see that RA had an update in early June so I go test an earlier version of that - one that matches up with your patch upload date.
I understand. It only occurs with this patch enabled - I am using The Only Cure successfully of this same collection - which is why I am starting here* - thinking versions of each master might be relevant.
EDIT - I tested on the 1.0 version of RA but still a CTD at launch. I disabled all other mods in a new MO2 profile to test... do you know if it's possible for MO2 to have a hidden errors area? Maybe it knows a master is missing or where the incompatability is but just isn't listing it as normal.
I did run a crash log error, states only that is it generic.
No errors in xEdit when viewing patch. I did notice that Return Aegisbane.esp isn't listed in a way that I thought mods and patches did (I love modding but I am not a mod maker); is that normal or a possible clue? Here's the right panel when viewing patch. The way you say it diverts to RA makes me think its probably normal and the way it's supposed to be (again, real amateur here with the theories sorry).
if I scroll up to the RA mod in xEdit... well it looks like I'd expect maybe given it's sort order.
I will keep playing with it; I'm with you thinking that a CTD at launch is usually an immediate incompatibility (SKSE version issues, masters, etc) and even though I've started a clean MO2 profile, it is NOT a clean installation with all the other goodies and I should continue to narrow it down.
Try Nr. 3 - When i Post the comment than its dont Post :/ (I Try this from Smartphone and now from PCMASTERRACE)
Why not a "No Valdr - Home" Version.
Deleted Only Valdr Home and replace the Vanilla Valdr in the Inn to the Buvarp Follower Valdr :) So its the Best from Two-Worlds - No new Conflict Potential House to Falkring but a new Follower
It was just brought to my attention that the CFTO patch currently on here conflicts with Moonpath to Elswyr. Can anyone confirm? I will fix if there is such an issue.

I currently have no plans for such a patch.
