Added Full Body Stagger. This feature greatly increases combat difficulty. You have to be extra careful not to get hit by a power attack or a shield bash, otherwise you'll get stunned. When enabled, any incoming stagger will stun the player and interrupt all actions, just like staggering an NPC actor.
You can enable/disable Full Body Stagger through the MCM "Health Settings" page.
I am using this mod and I can tell you. This mod makes fighting 3 bandits at once realistic in the way you just about cannot do anything. You are backed into a corner and blocking is the best you can do. You "depend" on your followers for help as you are not Superman dusting off multiple enemies like mowing down bowling pins.
For some strange reason after 3 seconds I can't run because I'm overloaded and this without starting the game. In the game as such I also tried it and I realized that being overloaded consumes magic and I don't understand why. I disabled the mod and had everything back to normal.
Did you discover anything more about this? I'm just trying out this mod and it's doing the same for me. Can't run after three steps, although stamina bar is still high. Magicka drains to nothing. This with 10/350 inventory weight.
"CC survival mode" reduce your health heal rate -100%. And this MOD cause you additional weight if your health recovery stopped. You can use this MOD, if you set "Depleted Stamina" to "off". It would be nice if Grvulture would update this mod to be compatible with "cc survival mode".
Hey, thanks for your feedback! But I don't need to provide "cc survival" compatibility, since you can use this with "cc survival mode" if you go to the MCM and disable "Depleted Stamina".
Oof lol. I've literally just finished tweaking and polishing my modlist for a new playthrough, and now I see this. Always liked your mods, and this one seems to cover what I'm currently using several mods for. So I think I'll give it a go.
Just wondering, does it also block actions? For e.g. prevent jumping if not enough stamina?
Cheers : ) I'll try it out anyway before I start my new game. I'll put it with Stamina Matters for blocking jumping and can disable the rest of that mod.
I may have found a small bug. Enabling 2H attack under "Action Penalties" seems to affect crossbow and bow draw as well. I had the bow draw option disabled when I tested this
Honestly I kind of prefer the first version of the mod, while it is a more direct approach to the changes, it was flawless in the changes. With this version, the scripts it uses to add the effects to NPCs, it causes massive lag like other uses have reported. *For those of you having bad lag in high count NPC areas like cities, it should help alot to go into the MCM and disable the NPC and NPC Combat settings.* This fixed the lag for me, but I do have to miss out on some features, obviously, which is why I generally prefer the first mod. But, this one is still an improvement over the first so I am sticking with this one. Regardless, thank you for the mod, it is definitely the primary mod I use for what it does, and has been for a couple years now since I found the first version. I only wish the script load could be somehow reduced so I could take full advantage of all the features this version brings. But again, I love the mod and continue to use it and it is great.
This looks really interesting. Walking around in Skyrim is now beneficial. Other stamina draining mods can be turned off and replaced by this mod for better immersion.
After using this mod for some time I am very satisfied with the concept. Does anyone know a simple mod to lower your carrying capacity? I have seen some mods limit the number of items you can carry but I would like to lower my carrying capacity to feel the weight of my armor and items more.
Update: Sometimes it is hard to have stamina at all in combat, so I will be pairing this with Sekiro Combat S, timed blocks give you stamina I think this will work well together. (Yes it does, works wonderfully together)
For those of you that experience big FPS drops, which is the only reason I wasn't using this mod, I suggest: Frostfall Spell Monitor Improvement https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/65700. I think Frostfall has a lot of scripts and so does this but together and with that mod minimizing the impact of Frostfall's scripts, this seems pretty stable. I'm still testing but I think that's the solution. Great mod. Realyl excited to give it a real test drive.
This mod in conjunction with my current setup caused some serious FPS drops in cities (or any NPC heavy area). If I had to guess, there's just too much going on when attempting to sort out stamina values for NPCs combined with other mods. The heavier offenders on my mod list are AI overhaul, RDO, Sunhelm, Immersive world encounters and a couple npc animation mods aimed at immersion. Removing VDR2 from my modlist took me from 40 fps in solitude to a solid 60(at which I have framerate capped). I love what this mod aims to do but sadly I think its pushing skyrim past its limits for me.
I even tried this again because it has so many things I’m looking for-the stamina consumption when not only sprinting but jogging but not when walking. I love the stamina consumption with magic and the hit on stamina when in cold territories which makes stamina super important in cold areas and especially when using seasons. But disabling the options for NPC’s didn’t really help with the fps drop and stutter. I must have too many other scripts going and this pushes it way over the limit.
Hello, like your mod so far but I have run into a few things. Some have been mentioned by others before:
- My followers dont seem to be affected by stamina consumption. Most of them arent vanilla but they all use vanilla races. - My character doesnt get forced to walk when run out of stamina. - Holding block with weapons dont drain stamina. But I believe I read you were against this. - Not sure if this is a missing feature but for me it would be a welcome addition: unable to attack when out of stamina.
If you know of mods that might do some of these please let me know.
