So this is it, the final COTN release. Dawnstar was a long time ago and all this time I could count on the support of the community. I hope you will appreciate it as much as the previous three others and will have fun exploring Falkreath.
This was a lot of work and I prefer not to estimate the hours spent on Blender and the CK, but it never stopped being fun and exciting !
Now I'm about to start - or continue - new projects which I hope will have the same success as this collection. If you want to check what I'm working on, you can have a look at my Patreon or my recently started YouTube channel. There I will share my current projects and discuss new ideas for mods.

Thank you all for the kind words, it means the world.

    Have a good one !

New file added to the Miscellaneous Files section. It should theoretically allow you to apply COTN Falkreath to an existing save. It's not thoroughly tested but seems like it MIGHT work at first blush?

It should only theoretically work on saves which didn't already have some city overhauls (JKs, TGC, Arthmoor's Falkreath, Helgen Reborn) or other things that potentially impact navmesh/etc (LOTD, etc) Basically, if you would need to uninstall anything in addition to installing COTN, don't try this).

Huge thanks to wSkeever for the idea.

So with a few slight exceptions, active development on patches is complete. If you don't find what you're looking for in the patch collection, you can assume if it's not mentioned in a sticky we're not planning on making one, so you can go ahead and start working yourself.

      Thanks for bearing with us!

in certain view angles, some objects would suddenly disappear and as long as I change my view angle, those objects would reappear. I believe last time I encountered such problems was because of ELFX. Does anyone have similar problems or can offer me an explanation?

Anyone having an issue with no beds in the Inns at these cities?
Playing survival. Towns are not modded in any other way.
The Inn rooms are empty of beds however I can spend the 10 gold to stay a night.

I have this issue too. I've gone through and purged anything else remotely city/inn/tavern related and checked on a new save. If you use noclip (TCL) in the Falkreath Inn, there are a bunch of NPCs and some beds and other objects floating outside the boundaries of the Inn. Again, I have no other town, etc... mods installed and Im still having the same issue as you.

Don't know if it's possible or even if it's a good idea for an alternative mod, but couldn't the buildings in Helgen Reborn be changed to Falkreath's style?
Love all your mods btw, been following you since the first cotn mod and this one is actually a true masterpiece!

I meant replacing the buildings inside helgen to cotn - falkreath style... isn't that patch related only to the building inside falkreath?

Does anyone else have an issue with the ownership not being set for the upstairs Jarls Palace? I looked in SSEEdit, and it looked okay, so I don't know what's going on. The horse can also just be taken without being marked as stolen and so can the Nord Hero Greatsword outside of the longhouse.

I had this issue as well. I ended up manually flagging every item on the floor.

    Hi
    Lovely mod!
But can I mention a possible issue with the Waters of ENB patch?

In a minimal install, with WENB second last and the patch last in load order, I get a seam near Solitude.

On the left is with the patch disabled, on the right it's enabled.

    Turns out to be this:

    WENB
Worldspace 0000003C, NAM3 LOD WaterType has:
    DefaultWater_LOD [WATR:0700F534]

COTN Falkreath Water for ENB patch
Worldspace 0000003C, NAM3 LOD WaterType has:
    DefaultWater [WATR:00000018]

I manually edited the COTN patch to be the WATR value in WENB and the seam went away...

    ?
In some conditions/ENB configurations it looks a lot worse, I was just trying to get consistent tests of midday/clear above.
Below is with the darker water option in WENB.

I never realized that was the cause of this seam. Thanks for pointing it out!

What is it in these mods that make it necessary to have patches for mods like Book Covers of Skyrim and Guards Armor Replacer?
I really like the aestethics of these JPSteel2's city mods, but they are absolutely atrocious when it comes to the amount of compatbility mods needed. And i even run a light load order, cant imagine what a nightmare it must be for someone with 250+ mods :/

Any mods that make substantial changes absolutely require patches, generally you'll have to go hunting for them and hope they're up to date with the mod, and often have to create your own patches & edit the ones you find.

COTN goes far above and beyond whats generally required by confirming and fixing conflicts with various mods, and puts all the patches centralized in an easy to install FOMOD, its actually a generous gift and saves tons of time.

Both of the mods you listed oregano place new items in Falkreath cells. As COTN is completely changing the tilesets, these cells are moving around quite a bit. Hence old placements of such items from those mods won't make any sense - worst case they are placed outside the bounds of the new modified cell, making them inaccessible without TCL. Best case they look terrible where they are placed.

There are levels to conflict resolution. JK's is a harder incompatability due to conflicting props, terrain, navmesh, etc. Book Covers Skyrim resizes books, places some manually, and moves the books around due to changed book dimensions. Worst case typically with BCS with a cell change is that the books go flying as JPSteel2 didn't consider their custom book sizes for his placement.

So I love the look of this city now, but one weird issue im getting is that all of the buildings are like, halfway buried in the ground? I'm not super sure what could be causing this to happen. Any ideas on how to fix this?

EDIT: I fully had another city mod running that i forgot about. i havent done something that stupid since high school lol

I've made a custom texture path version of JPSteel's meshes, plus an optional plugin with optional consistency added to vanilla farm pieces + JK's Skyrim vanilla farm pieces (e.g. walkway). This let's you use independent textures for COTN Falkreath instead of using your Skyrim's vanilla city sets.

Falkreath has always given me FPS challenges in VR. Any idea how this compares to vanilla for performance?

Depends on your rig, I can only give you my info. Running a 5600x RTX2060 and I've had no performance loss without ENB. With, maybe 5fps when running AO and all.

if you are running a vanilla+ modlist, than pretty much none. I have a heavy modlist with enb and i lose 30-33 fps here.
