If you want to know more go to the Skyrim Cleaned textures mod, and go to Can I have Info Spoiler and there will be your information.
All this mod does is removes bad compression and saves it in a better format so your game does not take up all your Vram so you will gain more FPS. That is what Cleaning does.
I don't know if if are still modding MrShadowBlood. But the file textures/wintersun/trans.dds from this mod is causing white texture on "shrine to clavicus vile" in Haemar's Shame.
I test both 1k and 2k (loose and bsa version) and they produced same result. Hiding trans.dds from this mod solves the problem.
thx for heads up but also make sure to disable everything and test it first to see if it is that since all textures are from Enai's mod so might be something else
I did test them using 2k and 4k with both loose and bsa. Here is how I tested: - bsa: enable and let your mod overwrite wintersun -> white texture - bsa: disable your mod, only wintersun enable -> no problem - loose: enable and let your mod overwrite wintersun -> white texture - loose: enable and let your mod overwrite wintersun + hide trans.dds -> no problem - loose: I extracted trans.dds from original wintersun and replace the file in your mod + enable and overwrite wintersun -> no problem.
I also opened both trans.dds files from wintersun and your mod. Whatever app you used to process the original file has transformed a transparent image to white bg image.
I'm not sure what you mean by never touch trans.dds. I just compare the two trans.dds file from original wintersun and your 1k loose mod. The original's size is 1.48kb while yours is 1.5kb.
I understand why you're skeptical about this report because noone would miss such a thing, right. My guess is that people mistook the white texture as snow covering Clauvius' statue (it's in a cave in snowy region afterall). I made the same mistake hence only in 2023 that I made this comment.
As with some of the textures in Triumvirate, I've come across purple textures ( ex: daedric artifact) in Wintersun as well. So I replaced the cleaned BSA textures with the loose 2k textures and now everything is fine.
Yeah....gonna have some friends test the BSA because this should not be happening with it because all the textures are in there and the names are the same as the original ones.
Only thing I can think of is that something is some how overwriting/conflicting with something or BSA needs to have the same name as the Mod's texture BSA.
This is a load order issue. The game reads BSAs before loose files regardless of what order you have them in, so it reads the files from this mod, then sees Wintersun, then sees this mod and shows the purple missing texture.
Hello, I may have done something wrong but when installing the offered BSA version the Wintersun menu doesn't load, it's not even possible to get blessings and the like even if the items still "exist". I basically removed the original BSA and replaced it with yours by changing the name to match the original. Was it because of that?
Just one question. I've noticed you included grad_conjuration_spirits_cattotem.dds, grad_destruction_goldbody.dds, grad_restoration_heal_hazardedge.dds and illusionflare.dds in this mod and in Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim Cleaned and Enhanced Textures. Does it matter which of these files is deployed first?
Clean texture is mostly for performance while making the textures look nicer and more detailed while 2k is more for people that has quite bit of space but also has above average gaming PC. This way people that need performance won't lack any detail enhances when they want to use normal clean.
Best part about the loose files is you can download the clean and 2k versions then swap out textures from the 2k you don't pay attention or don't like with normal cleaned textures to save space.
My personal favorite is normal clean since gives me a performance boost but gives me some more slight detail compared to regular textures which is what I use the BSA most cases.

If you are still modding please help with fixing.

Cause never touched the trans.dds. All I did was throw it into a bsa

I might redo the Hircine banner but that's a hard maybe since was tedious to fix the blocky alpha
Endorsed.

I'll upload another BSA with the same name of the mod as a possible fix.
Try not renaming it but then again this only affects textures so unsure why it would cause the menu and blessings to act all funky.

I guessed that much, but I wanted to be sure.
