Also reason why there is no 2x or 4x preview pics is because most of the models have the same quality when using the 2k texture version so no reason to take pictures of textures that are the same.
Which one gives more performance, the main file or the 2k?
Thanks for what you're doing. Its always nice to have optimizations like this especially for those with limited hardware.
Btw, any chance you can also do the same for "Arcanum" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/46322, and "Colorful Magic" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13261?
These are wonderful, not your typical spell package mods, albeit outdated. Not really a request but a lot would appreciate it.
I recommend the main file or the texture BSA if you want to save more space. For bsa just delete the texture BSA in Triumvirate and replace it with this.
Also did you mean Arcanum original mod or the bug fix? Can't do Colorful Magic since I would have to ask thousands of mod authors which will be chaotic since even if one said no or never responds I will never be able to do it.
I can do Arcanum sometime since permissions are open, ironic that I was gonna do G.R.I.M mod they made until I found out it's sorta broken which is a shame.
Not sure if the textures were changed but I am personally using the version with bug fix and so far haven't got CTD from that one. Just go with what you feel like doing. Its appreciated all the same.
Another question, when using both loose files from your cleaned Triumvirate and Apocalypse, I noticed they overwrite each other. Which do you suppose I should let win?
I use ImageEnhancingUtility and ESRGAN to clean the textures so it smoothes it out and saves the texture in b7 format so Skyrim uses less Vram and gains more FPS.
Then I make optional files where I increased all textures by 4 times with 4 times the quality.
2x are textures that are increased in quality and size by 2
2k is more of a performance and quality enhancer since all textures are either at 2048 or lower so that the smaller textures will have an increase in quality.
Effects and Gradients are never upscaled but only cleaned due to it becoming low resolution when upscaling it though cleaning it enhances it.
PC usually does all the work but takes for ever since I have to drag few textures at a time into the app to clean it which takes a while. Then I make sure all the cleaned and upscale textures are in the right files or it won't show up ingame.
Also I need to make sure textures export properly which is annoying over half the time since I can't tell if it properly cleaned until it finishes the export which sometimes takes a while depending on the size of the texture or how many textures I placed in the app to get cleaned.
An example is I cleaned a texture that is supposed to be transparent for 5min and it comes out solid so I gotta redo it with a different option enabled.
4x is the longest since every texture is increased in size so I got to do 1 texture at a time and wait a while for it.
Over all it's just me using an app to make improvements to textures of a mod for more performance and quality which is a long process.
Np, Texture cleaning is not really used much in the modding community.
I just do it since I have a giant mod list ready for 1 certain mod but afraid my PC might not handle everything so I have been cleaning textures of mods I use but I upload the ones I got permission from the mod authors.
All textures besides gradients/effects are upscaled 2 times the size and quality but unlike the 2k version the textures do not cap at a size limit so you can also have 4k textures in it.
Textures in BSA are just the normal cleaned textures for those who do not want to download loose files of the regular-sized textures or people that want to save space.

Looking forward to that one. Endorsed!
Enai's textures are mostly reused in their mods they make which I noticed when cleaning the textures so should be fine to overwrite
Try redownloading the BSA or use main file version which is loose files.
