About this mod

The Daedric Crescent of Eternal Doom is a double-bladed Daedric artifact created by Mehrunes Dagon. There were once many Crescents, which were used by Dagon's forces to take the Battlespire during the Imperial Simulacrum. When the Empire later reclaimed the ruined academy, the Crescents were gathered up and destroyed - all but one.

"The Daedric Crescent of Eternal Doom is a double-bladed Daedric artifact created by Mehrunes Dagon. It has the power to paralyze those it strikes, in addition to damaging the opponent's armor protection with each strike. Lightweight, and dealing more damage than a Daedric Greatsword, in addition to being faster and with a greater range and critical damage chance, this two-handed weapon is fearsome in the hands of any formidable warrior.

There were once many Crescents, which were used by Dagon's forces to take the Battlespire during the Imperial Simulacrum. When the Empire later reclaimed the ruined academy, the Crescents were gathered up and destroyed - all but one.

In 3E 427, this last Crescent was discovered by the Nerevarine. It had been in the possession of Lord Dregas Volar, a Dremora who dwelled in the Daedric shrine of Magas Volar, a Daedric sanctuary inaccessible without teleportation. Divayth Fyr of Tel Fyr had come to possess an amulet which would teleport the wearer to the hidden shrine; the Nerevarine used the amulet and defeated Lord Volar, claiming the last known Daedric Crescent.

In 4E 201, according to rumours this artifact somehow is in the hands of the College of Winterhold. Apparently, again a Dremora was in its possession, that Dremora was summoned, and somehow permanently petrified, in the college's catacombs, known as the Midden. There he remains, holding his weapon, like a statue, enchanted to be the Crescent's eternal guardian, and to kill anyone who may try to steal it."

who writes the texts that are usually presented as descriptions for my mods. A former monster hunter, now a dedicated scholar,
he is planned to be released as an NPC in late 2022/early 2023, doing the same job in-game as my descriptions do on Nexus.)

Technical info: in combat, it has a 40% chance of paralyzing enemies for 6 seconds (enemies that are not resistant to paralysis magic) and for enemies wearing armor, each strike lowers their armors defense points to the point where they become null. The weapon is added as a two-handed weapon, it is included in the greatsword, daedric weapon and daedric artifact category. It can be improved using an ebony ingot and a daedra heart.

The position it is in when held on the back is not ideal, but if I lower it, it will no longer fit properly in your hands when used in combat, so unfortunately I had to sacrifice a little bit of its position on the back to be suitable in the hands. I made sure to keep it two-handed like in Morrowind because soon I'll be releasing simple one-handed crescents, and I want this one to stand out and be different.
