So it is widely known that his mod likely corrupts saves when uninstalling mid save. But i may have found a workaround (?), what i did was:
1. So first, i have a working save with this mod installed. 2. I open up that save in resaver, and filtered 'tesmodplatform' 3. Deleted every scripts of that name 4. Save that edit into a new save file, 5. Try loading it up in game with skyrimplatform disabled.
I cannot guarantee everything in this save is now fine and dandy, but i can tell you that this save now loads without corruption message, and i can make new saves from that save in game (Previously if you uninstall the mod in that save, new saves made from that save would take forever to create and won't load)
Edit: Save works fine so far after perhaps 3 hours of gameplay still
Just wanted to say, you might have just saved my save.
I had this installed since the start, but since I didn't have any mods using it and I heard about potential performance drops, so I uninstalled it and got the "30s to save" bug. Using this method, it seems like my saves are quick again and with Skyrim Platform uninstalled. Checking task manager, there's no more running instances of Skyrim Platform so I think it's gone? Hopefully there's no more issues down the line.
Funny actually, i discovered that purging a mod's scripts somehow makes uninstalling them mid save (bad practice, i know) much safer to do. I like to do this when i uninstall heavy mods, just filter the esp in resaver. I first discovered this when uninstalling convenient carriages, if you do that the save corrupts - but not when you do this method.
I am playing on AE version 1.6.1170 and having this installed resulted in CTD everything i crafted an item, either smelter, forge or tanning rack. Anyone else have this problem?
PapyrusProfiler shows this mod being called 12% of the time, while the next two largest mods are called 4% and 1.9% of the time. So, definitely not good lol. The only mod I use this for is Disable Recoil, but I ran the test when I was just running around Solitude. Any tips on how I can lower this?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not entitled to anything, and I like the premise of this mod.
I'm in Skuldafn, and it crashes to desktop every third time, it loads a game after I died, with always the same error log pointing to Skyrim platform. Every crash when loading a save is related to Skyrim Platform, which means that 8 out of 10 crashes in this play through with an otherwise stable game are related to it. I decided to leave it in the game so far, because I normally don't die that often, and I've shaped my game around Elden Equip and Dragonborn Unlimited.
But is there any chance for a stability update, especially because you made the good decision that Dogpoop 76 in space isn't good enough to be modded?
Going through my crashlogs during the process of testing my modlist sadly it seems like 90% or the crashes have been caused by this mod. At least I've found it now before committing to a playthrough rather than finding out later, but oh boy does it suck. I'll be missing out on some cool mods without this. Just a warning to anyone else if they are getting seemingly random crashes to check your crash logs just in case this is the culprit.
Is the current version (2.8.0) compatible with Skyrim AE version 1.6.353? Some important mods in my load order haven't been updated to 1.6.6+ yet, but I need platform for Elden Equip.
I currently use old versions of both Elden Equip and Skyrim Platform that *are* 1.6.353 compatible, but the latest update to Elden Equip (which has some features and bug fixes that I'd like) requires Platform version 2.7 or higher. Is it safe to update Platform on my .353 install, or should I just stick with the old versions of both mods?

Please make sure you have the latest Skse and mo2, if you experience crashing on startup.

Thanks!
Uninstalled everything except my ENB, buttery smooth frames and then when I enabled this I drop to 7FPS.
