It decreased performance in my game. I tested in a new save in Skyrim VR. Compared it before and after in the same places and I noticed it increased stutter significantly. Unfortunately it is not for me.

Because usually the graphic card is the bottleneck in everygame, people have huge benefits using this mod. Your hardware composition has a better graphics card than the other components (how I said it's rare but it happens).

adding to the chorus that this causes horrible stuttering on skyrimVR while running a 4080, especially in and around outdoor cities like drangonbridge or Rorikstead. Weird because on paper it seems like a great idea and that it could only help by reducing draw calls for any system. cest la vie. I suppose flatrim and lower systems fare far better.

If using AE - install this addon
It`s version independent so it works on any version of AE

The description states this mod is compatible with Dyndolod, but the newest version of Dyndolod 3 has an option for occlusion which I assume would conflict with this mod?

Makes exteriors in my game greatly darker and I don't get any fps boosts. Where I had drop down to 52 fps, this mod does not increase even 1 fps.

Installed on 1.6.1170 to help with in-city FPS drops...This mod is a GAME CHANGER.

EDIT: NVM. May have found an explanation on the AE eFPS page:
"As of now, mods that move or delete existing architecture are incompatible with eFPS."

Any idea what might be causing this mod to crash upon opening the world map? I have a few different Whiterun mods active, and the game runs perfect until I try to open the map, and then it just kills the game. Skyrim 1.6.343, and I'm using the anniversary add-on and have the official and unofficial patch hubs downloaded.

No idea why it's happening, and your stickied comment says this mod can't cause CTDs, but I know it's coming from this mod specifically, because the map works fine when I disable eFPS.

Thanks for the suggestion! At the time I didn't have Crash Logger, but I did actually just recently download it to help me figure out a different problem I was having. Might be worth trying out this mod again with it running to see if I can identify the incompatibility.

      Thanks!

Okay, so reporting back. It's been a while since I last used eFPS, so I can't say for certain what that conflict was, but I can confirm I am no longer having crashing when opening the world map.

My guess as to what the problem was is that I was using Immersive Paper Map (3rd Edition) By CKW25, and it would crash when trying to open the paper world map. I'm no longer using that mod, and I'm not crashing, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the issue. Apart from that, it's also possible I enabled a patch this time that I didn't enable last time, allowing eFPS to run properly. Hard to say for sure, but I am glad to say it's working now.

Edit: Nevermind. Still getting some CTDs. Unfortunately, crash logger didn't generate a report, so I'm not sure what it might be, but I think eFPS is just conflicting with some of my Whiterun overhaul mods. (JK + DoS + FW, etc). In this instance, it happened again when opening my world map.

For reference, I have an MSI 4080 and an i5-13600k

I saw that there are individuals who have issues when their GPU is stronger than their CPU. I'm not sure what specs that would require, but my specs are above and I saw no performance decrease.

I also installed this mid-playthrough on a save where nearly all base game content is complete (only Riften, Guild Quests and the Main Quest are left. Plus DLC, of course), and I had no issues so far. It reduced stutters greatly and the overall performance increase is very noticeable. Note that I'm also using the eFPS Patches for JK's and JK's Outskirts.

Overall, this is pretty much a must have on 99% load orders and PC set ups. Worked for me with my current specs and on a mid-playthrough save.
