I'd hoped this would be like the old Breezehome Upgraded autostores but it's actually quite buggy and not fun to use. I can see you've also avoided overwriting the original mod's existing storage objects, but I feel like that would have been a good thing to do.

The Breezehome upgraded autostores checked if you had any of their type of item when you pressed E and gave you the option of storing them, but if you had none it would just open the container. It also automatically added your potion ingredients to your inventory when you opened the alchemy lab and automatically put them back when you left the UI, that was super convenient.

There were a few more issues like the food store missing a bunch of items from my inventory that are clearly flagged food or drink, and I couldn't figure out how to get it to actually store my stolen stuff. Some of the categories also have quick-access objects like the Prepared Foodstuffs, but then some don't like the Potion Stores and it made them really frustrating to use. The auto-sorter was kind of confusing and didn't seem to work, lots of items just sat in it. And it was very immersion-breaking to be able to magically access all my storage from that one chest in the armoury.

If I were doing this mod, the changes I would make would be:

    • Use the original mod's storage objects and include the original mod in the list of masters so it'll sort correctly.
    • Make it so each storage container just has two options: Store All or Open.
    • When you click Store All, don't automatically open the UI again, then you don't need an exit button.
    • If you don't have any valid items to be stored, it shouldn't open the UI and instead should just open the container.
    • Add a script to the alchemy table to automatically retrieve your ingredients when you open it and put them back when you close it. Same with the enchanter and soul gems, etc
    • Put a magic object somewhere in the house that can access the Store All commands for each of the inventories. No need for an auto-sort if you do that, just makes it a few clicks instead of dumping items manually into the auto-sort container.
    • Not sure how you're searching currently, but it may not be correctly sorting by item type as it missed a lot of items. Sorting by type should let modded-in items be sorted too.
    • Ensure there is a location for misc items like Clutter that don't go anywhere else.

Not sure how much of that is feasible or how the underlying general storage mod works, but that would be much better, in my opinion. This mod is from 2017 though, so perhaps it's time for someone to redo it.

A the name said, "General Stores for Eli's Breezehome". The mod just put General Store to work in the inventories of Elis Brezehome, NOTHING MORE. All of you (very good) requests need to be addressed to the General Store mod, who that do the sorting process.

Overall not a bad little extension for Eli's Breezehome, but one problem. I had to disable every addition you made to the armory because they were blocking a lot of the activators for displays. You may want to look into that. Otherwise, nice job.

Great player home. But has some problems. It doesn't play nice with Open Cities. When you exit the home the city is no longer open and none of the doors work. WO is to fast travel somewhere then ft back to skyrim. But the major problem is the CTD's. Almost every 3rd time on entering or going to the basement causes a CTD.

I'm on Windows10 with plenty of memory running through MO.

After adding the General Stores for Eli's Breezehome, I am missing my Kitchen table and the wall to my bedroom. Otherwise everything is peachy

Thank you so much for this. I love Eli's player homes, but I really need autosorting because I'm a packrat. This gives me the best of both worlds.

Welp...I may have to give up on Elysium estate for this. An Eli home in a great location AND General Stores?

I did talk to the general stores author for Elysium estate. He said he was converting it soon.
