    Greetings all,

I hope people enjoy this expansion of my Pelts of Skyrim mod. I've realized my dream of having more pelts in the game, so people are no longer limited to choosing which 3 pelt textures they want to use. Now, you can have up to 9 different pelts in the game. I've tried to make this mod as performance friendly as possible so it can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

Both the meshes and textures are required for this mod to work properly. Check the ReadMe for the proper folder path if you are doing manual installation.

    Enjoy!
    Gamwich

Feel free to add your screenshots to the user gallery. It's always nice to see how the textures look in different lighting conditions.

I don't do requests, so please people, don't ask.

Try to limit your questions and comments to the mod at hand. These comment sections can go off course quite easily.

Any chance of a future Parallax version of this?

I know they have the Parallax Pelts, would prefer it in these.

As with PELTAPALOOZA in Oldrim, these are such an improvement over the vanilla pelts. I wish they were of slightly higher quality when viewed close up however. Endorsed. Thank you for bringing these to SSE.

Hi.. Perhaps for many this seems a silly question, but I'm really not sure if I understood the following text correctly: "This increases the NUMBER of pelts used by the game from the default 3, to 9"... So, the NUMBER of pelts in the game is increased from 3 to 9, or the MODELS of pelts is increased from 3 different models to 9 different models, but the total number of all pelts in the game is the same ?! I mean, for example, before, there were 300 pelts everywhere in the game and now there are 900 ?!..
    Thank you in advance!

You're confusing things. This mod doesn't change the number of pelts appearing in the game. It changes the number of pelt textures that are used by the game.

Skyrim has only 3 pelt textures used in total. I edited the pelt meshes so that rather than having the same 3 textures repeat over and over, the 9 pelt meshes could each have a unique texture applied. So, instead of seeing only 3 types of pelts in the game, you can now see 9 different types.

    Do TXSTs work with pelts?

In theory, it should be possible to support an arbitrary number of textures with a patcher.

For each pelt static, look for a replacement texture in the right directory, and create a TXST for the replacement textures, and a new static object that uses that TXST.

For each REFR to a pelt, randomly pick one of the n different statics derived from the original pelt (including the original one), and replace the reference to the vanilla pelt with a different one.

After all this time, still a must pick for me. Only improvement I can think of is the name... RUSTIC PELTAPALOOZA would let me sleep a bit better

Hi there, this mod has crossover files with both High Poly Project. Which load order should your mod overwrite/be overwritten?

In order for my mod to work properly, it should be loaded after that other mod.

    Hello Gamwich

1st congratulation on your quality retexture mods, especially PELTAPALOOZA and your RUSTIC series, I like them very much.
2nd I have noticed you did not release a mod in a while and hope you are still around.
3rd I know you stated you don’t do requests, but I have to ask anyway:

Did you realise that none of the pelt*.nif's got any physics collision box attached to them?
That is the reason why blood decals do not show up in them. As Pelts are often used in Skyrim to cover the stone floors of Houses and Inns I wonder if you could add any collision to them if you are able to (know your ways around 3D modelling, I certainly don’t).

Or maybe I should ask the USSEP team to consider adding them. I feel it’s a "bug" or at least a major oversight because the entire rug*.nif's got a collision boxes so why not the pelts makes no sense.
