I have an issue. I accepted a quest from Laila Law Giver (post Imperial Civil War Victory) for a shipment. Did it, handed it back, the missive and Quest item removed, Got paid BUT it's still in my quest log, all objectives completed, no conversation topics with her about it. How can I find the ID of this quest to complete/remove it?
I have a similar issue where I did a quest to deliver something to another npc and now its stuck in my quest log. I did an ingredients quest later and that one did not get stuck in my quest log.
So I did some testing by reloading some saves. It appears it came back into my quest log when I either took or completed the ingredients quest as it was not in my quest log after I completed it. Tried to replicate it by doing another quest after and it did not happen again when trying to repeat it so not sure what occurred exactly.
I had a delivery quest for Ennis stuck in my journal. I thought I'd have to start all over yet again. However, I did a favor for Farengar, in which he wanted a greater soul gem, and upon that completion, the bugged Ennis quest was gone. Because I know it's not permanent (hopefully), I endorsed this mod, and plan to keep it in my load order. Since my girl is a succubus, she likes to be friends with any and all. lol
ok so i use Telengard and reva asked me to retrieve her necklace from pride (shipwreck) so i get the necklace, i return to her..the quest...up in my active quests list...shows all objectives completed...I have given the necklace to reva.
and the quest remains...i dont have her note i dont have her necklace...she has no other dialog except to find ouit if i can do anything for her again and she says nah i dont think so...yet the quest the pickup necklace delivery still remains in the active list all items marked completed...
so... what next to remove it...there are no other active quests should i remove reinstall the mod and simply never take any from such towns not on nexus anymore ? suggestions?
it's just a skyrim bug that quests sometimes remain in quest log even when marked completed. it has no other affect on gameplay, and the next time you do the same quest, it'll go away. or you can loa an older save if it bothers you immediately
I don't know what the problem is, but I went to rescue the orc in the Broken Fang Cave location and after I did it, he stopped halfway and stands in the cave, and nothing happens. That's weird. Upd. Solved. After restarting the game, the orc began to follow me. Maybe because I disabled No Crime Teleport.
Can this mess with the npcs referenced by missives? I took a missives quest and went to the npc to take a letter, that npc had no dialogue whatsoever and I couldn't take the letter. One time missives sent me to deliver a letter to one of my followers and that follower also lost all dialogue and couldn't be talked to
Dunno what's up, but I typically use the MCM to make it so I should always get a quest from an NPC but I still end up in situations where an NPC won't give me one. Some NPCs seem to never give me one. Danica, for example, doesn't seem to want my help for anything ever after having done the Gildergreen quest. I don't have anything else in my journal that should be blocking it. Dunno what the issue is. When it works, it works splendidly. But it just picks weird times, places, and characters to not work.
You mean in the dialogue menu itself? The dialogue for it appears. They just always say "Nah, I don't think so." If you mean that some other dialogue is blocking them from being able to actually give me a quest, then I don't know what it'd be. Didn't see anything conflicting with this mod in xEdit. I'll look again, though.
Sure. Here you go. And yes. I always set it to 0. Some NPCs (not all) just never or rarely wanna give me a quest, even with it set as such. MCM Picture NPC Response
Same issue. Did you ever get this resolved? Not only are quests not always appearing when I have the setting correct, but when I finish a quest with the 'quests Increase relationship rank' option toggled, I stay at relationship rank 0 after a quest is done...
all I know of is Harder Thaneships and At Your Own Pace - Thane module. Both of these require you to become friends with a higher number of people in cities in order to become thane. This is a challenge in vanilla because only a few people in each city actually have enough content to raise their disposition. I would imagine that any dialogue mods that add more lines to people you're friendly with might also benefit, but I can't name any off the top of my head. Other than that, i have to imagine it's mostly for RPing purposes.
from the description: Q: What's the benefit of improving disposition with NPCs? A: NPCs will become friendlier with you. You will be able to sleep in their houses and take some of their possessions. NPCs might become your followers or potential spouses. You might get better prices with merchants. Some mods might confer other benefits: for example, you will be able to enter their homes by knocking with Simply Knock. See UESP article on disposition.
OStim Romance recommends this mod for making the romances more immersive, since OStim adds an intimacy system to relationships based on time together, chatter with NPCs, and doing quests for them (quests which can be provided by this mod). The benefit is, obviously, building up stronger relationships with romancable NPCs (one or multiple, your pick) which is easier with this mod. Haven't tried it myself, but it sounds like a good combo if you care about the romance side of things.
Forgotten Art. It lets you draw a nude picture of the female NPCs but only if you do their primary quest or another one in the same region/hold. This would let you skip quests you don't want to do. Or in my case, don't want to do because you have been playing the same quests for the past 10 years of Skyrim and getting sick of it.

But this mod is not responsible for any npc navigation issues you may have in your game
