Hi Idrinth, I tried your mod and it does the work: no dark faces. but... on the same time it kind of "soft-washes" a lot of face, as if all wrinkles are ironed out - Botox extreme. Only for me or does anyone else sees the same?
Don't get me wrong, the dark face bug is really annoying and you put a lot of work in your mod, but there is already the mod "Face Discoloration Fix" from Parapets that fixes all dark face related problems, i think.
I'll be without internet for the most part from the 22. to the 22. next month, I'll get to your comments as quickly as possible, but my answering and fixing time will be way slower.
Does this rebuild the actual facegen mesh or only the facetint colour? Like if I change an NPC's weight or faceparts will this automatically fix it in-game or do I still need CK for that?
And does this rebuild every human NPC's head in the entire game every hour, or just those in the immediate vicinity? Is the fix permanent or temporary (could the mod be disabled to save performance after letting it run once and fix everybody)?
Changing parts of the face should be covered, same for weight.
It rebuilds every spawned NPC's face, that should only be the ones in the same area. The workaround is not permanent sadly, so disabling the mod will remove the effect the next time the npc respawns :(
this seems nice but i doubt it would work only certain npc's, right?
i have many mods and everything was fine till, by accident, i aply "tool" and re-organized all the mods and screw up everything, the problem is that right now, the only dark face characte are ONLY the vampires npc's (not named) and standar vigilants (not named)
i addaded better npc's vampire and it fixed all the named vampires, but the only ones with the dark faces are the not named one, (encounter and dungeons vampires and vigilants of stendar) i woudl like to know if somebody would tell me what could be the cause, because, in my opinion, everything its in order but SOMETHING IS WRONG. and i mean, it doent's matter that much because i have FEC mod and once they die, the mod "poison" them and return to theyr "original" face. altho i kill them fast, it just tells me wich ones are vampires, because most of vigilants use helmet (mod i installed for them) Sooo, how could i post my mods list and somebody could help me?
sorry if it doent's matter to the mod, i just want to know if you think that this mod would help me.
It applies to all NPCs, so your case is covered. Regarding the reason for the black or dark faces, that is to my knowledge a broken facegen, you'd need to manually built a patch to fix it. See https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Dark_Face_Bug
I was too lazy to do that, so I came up with using SPID and the mentioned scriptable fix. Regarding uploading your modlist, drop by on the Nexus discord, people, including myself, will try to help you there.
Saragotha, thanks, i mean, i really do not use forums and stuff, i usually do not comment in nexus neither because i am really A BAD PERSON, when it comes to being social, and my bad english doent's helps in anything. thanks, imma try to look for something, i was just asking and wondering if the mod could help because i've been looking and all the "answers" (from old posts) i see are from years, and some of them are just vague and, i apreciate it, but kinda helpless in my case (cuz i have tried them)
thanks, i really apreciate it. i hope one of these mods works, i have kinda little time to fix it myself because my work its soo "sudendly" and it prevents me from finishing anything ( iwas learning how to make animations but got hard work and now i forgot everything i learned, oh boy)
thanks, this is what i mean "A BAD PERSON" cuz i tend to write a lot of useless stuff.
welp, i just tried first Face Discoloration Fix and its seems it did the work properly.
i haven't seen many vampires, tbh, because i've been fooling around, but the ones i just saw, seems fine to me.
also, killed them with staff (no effect so no poison) and it seems they turn into ash (better npc vampire) xd but it seems that fixed it, there is only one character i think need to check, its the girl that makes the crossbows for the dawnguard, but i belive i already fixed that, just that haven't cheked.
anyway, thanks guys, this did a lot, thank so much.

is it possible to identify NPCs with dark face (through SKSE?), so that only they are affected?
achieving that would minimize the wrinkles/makeup bug.
Will untag the internet lack post, it's old, sorry about the confusion.
but it also removes makeu/wrinkles/etc from all NPCs...

Will add the link to the readme.
And neither of them do anything for me. Must be caused by something outside their purview.
