About this mod

Creates two configurable hotkeys to quickly dual-wield your spells! A simple alternative to iEquip's quick Dual-Cast feature.

Changelogs
As a mage, I found myself wanting to equip a spell in either the left or right hand quickly into the other hand, without having to setup numerous, complex hotkey groups to do so, and I didn't want to keep iEquip, as great as it is, installed just for it's dualcast feature. Thus, I whipped this together in thirty minutes so I could continue on with my mage playthrough.

OVERVIEW
  • Comes with a json file to configure the two hotkeys. Yes, there isn't an MCM, but I think it would have been too much for this.
  • Press the left hand hotkey to take the spell in the left hand and also equip it into the right hand, and vice versa. The default left and right hand keys are G and H respectfully.
  • Very lightweight, script only runs when you press the hotkey
  • Configure the config.json file in "Data/skse/plugins/StorageUtilData/SimpleDualEquip"
  • The hotkeys need to be saved in the json file as DXscancode; I include a reference scancode txt file
  • Press the same hotkey again to re-equip your last spell (i.e. you press a Hand key to dual-equip Firebolt then press that same Hand key to revert to Firebolt and whatever else you had before first pressing the key)

INSTALLATION
  • Install the latest version of PapyrusUtils
  • Install through your favorite mod manager
  • change your hotkeys in "Data/skse/plugins/StorageUtilData/SimpleDualEquip"
  • Dual Equip your spells
  • If you want to change the hotkeys while the game is running, reload a save after making changes.

FAQ
  • If you delete the config.json, another will be generated; if using Mod Organizer, it will appear in your overwrite folder
  • If changing the config.json coupled with the mod does not change anything, check if a new config was generated in your data folder/overwrite.
