- Multiple optimizations to the implementation of new dialogue (thank you Drowchan for bringing this up) - Added a new steward, Cassius and made Mjoll the new Housecarl (per popular request) - Forwarded changes from USSEP (I think) - You can talk to Horik to update his court if you are updating from an older version
(Also, don't be alarmed by the lower file size. By following Drowchan's suggestion, I have been able to cut some unnecessary voice files.)
So basically, this mod also removes Mjoll from being your follower. I just finished getting her sword back and such and suddenly she is staying at the castle and has ZERO follower dialogue, regardless of all console and reset attempts. Her factions are set correctly but she remains in the castle because she is the "housecarl" for the new Jarl (even though I haven't done a single step to this mod's quest yet). And the original steward and housecarl.... all dialogue GONE beyond normal hello/etc. Couldn't purchase the house, etc. This mod is an awesome idea... but there is ZERO checking/verification to execute its quests and scripts which pretty much killed my Riften in the current playthrough (level 45 and about 100 hours in). So my only choices are now to live with it or start a NEW game and remove the mod befoorehand and install AFTER/mid play I am finished with the reset. And there are no patches nor anyway for me to post this as a bug since this mod doesn't have a bug tab. For the record, I started a test play through and consoled my way through Roften with this disabled/not active and verified that against a second consoled new start with it active. It's definitely this mod and it's handling of the NPCs. Kinda sucks losing both a follower, potentional wife, and good party banter with Serana via SDA. Please check better or build in a timer to execute these changes or at least keep Mjoll out of it.
rate it a 10/10 concept, 7/10 mod (if you dont care about Mjoll as a follower/spouse, or if you wanna destroy the theives guild).
As it is... 5/10 for destroying my playthrough and making choices for me.
I'm not one to comment on comments really but I think your (rdmusn2005) final statement was a touch out of line.
"As it is... 5/10 for destroying my playthrough and making choices for me."
To be fair, YOU made the choice to dl it and install it, not the author. The rest of your comments were a well stated opinon that I agree with for the most part. If Maven were the only one replaced or moved I, too think it would have been a better mod. Hell, even placed in prison would have been great.
Thanks for this! I backported this to LE for personal use and everything worked out well. As others stated, Maven walks around town afterwards talking about how the throne suits her, so I set those jarl type of dialogues to "say once" and only when actually clicked on. And put her in mourner's clothes just because. So much better! I could never stomach her being Jarl.
I appreciate this mod so much - not being able to dislodge Maven annoyed me to no end. But I'm having some trouble getting Thaneship of Riften now. Do you think you can explain how to launch that quest? (Possibly share the quest ID so we can console it if necessary? Nothing against you, just, you know how Skyrim is.)
Great starting concept but I found Maven last night and she’s still acting as if she’s the Jarl. Even with the guy you created on the throne. In a future update would you consider throwing her in one of the empty Riften jail cells or maybe publicly hold her execution like they did in Solitude for Roggvir?
Cute, but I thought it par for the course with Maven. Kinda like how one's not left happy leaving the Silver Bloods in charge of the reach after fucking us over. What's an even bigger travesty is replacing the best jarl, Idgrod, with some miner lady that works for a thane in Solitude. They got lazy and truly screwed the pooch with Morthal. One should be able to convince her to join one side or the other, like that other mod with Balgruuf, given they're both so vague and half hearted about whom they support in the conflict.
a) why would you need so many different options, b) this mod hasn't been updated in over two years, c) that's not what this mod is for, do it yourself.
Hmm that's better aproach to riften's problem. Let's see: If i am going to do it right this how i'm gonna do it: first get the grimsever for mjoll, put and to civil war after killing alduin before all of that, i'll need brnjolf for finding esbern, wipe out thieves guild and replace maven than kill her thanks to great mod i found or notaybe leaving her rot in prison is good idea. I see bugs were taken care of.

I ran into this issue as well, and I performed the following commands.
prid 00019DF7 (or simply click on Mjoll)
removefromallfactions
addtofaction 00019809 0
addtofaction 0002816B 0
addtofaction 00028186 0
addtofaction 0005C84D 0
addtofaction 0005C84E -1
addtofaction 000A251E 0
addtofaction 000F18EF 0
This will remove all of her factions and add back the ones she should have, allowing you to recruit her again like normal.
Removing Mjoll as a follower was disappointing to say the least; glad to see there's a way to add her back

The mod has perfectly satisfactory implementation, badmouthing it because Mjoll isn't part of one's romance RP is wild.
Backup your shit.
1st rule of modding Skyrim.
Backup your fucking game.
QQ more please. Blaming the mod author for you utterly failing at playing modded games is weak af.
First off, I want to say that I like the idea behind this mod. I do NOT appreciate the idea of Mafia Black-Briar in charge.
That said, with your permission, may I port this to Xbox? Credit will be given where it is due.
