Changelogs
Inspired by mods such as High-Level Enemies and Heritage, Versus aims to give endgame enemies both visual and mechanical distinction. The core of that vision is the new variable enemy scaling that aims to challenge even the highest leveled player. While at the same time maintaining a sense of progression by limiting the growth of traditionally weaker enemy types. Variable enemy scaling avoids the pitfalls of Oblivion and the original High-Level Enemy scaling with this one simple change. Versus is also respectful of vanilla encounter design by maintaining initial starting levels and stats for enemies, restricting scaling on summonable enemies, and only scaling the highest-tier variants of each enemy type. Lastly, Versus takes inspiration from SRCEO and Real Bosses in buffing unique bosses with health and perks.

The second aspect of Versus is its overhaul of vanilla bandits and reavers, which have been expanded from 6 to 8 tiers. The bandit face pool has also been expanded from 276 faces to 830 faces. Each new addition having been individually crafted for quality and fit. A neat side effect of this is that melee bandits no longer share appearances which is a great boon if you're using any spawn mod. I've gone ahead and included some example bandit faces in the photos section.

The third aspect of Versus is the introduction of new enemy classes with abilities that challenge the player while remaining fair and solvable with smart tactics rather than just larger numbers. Players who play with multiple followers will also benefit from this approach. As followers that specialize in abilities you don't may assist you in overcoming certain enemy types that counter you. I've posted an article detailing the first of my new enemy classes in the article section. A link is also included in the Mod Features Summary section.

Mod Features Summarized

- Variable level scaling is applied to enemies based on power and size in relation to the player. Meaning that Lvl. 80 – 1000 HP Skeevers will never be a thing.

- Only the highest tier of enemies are scaled to avoid conflicts with Skyrim's leveled list approach to enemy spawning.

- Adds additional health and perks to unique named boss-type enemies.

- Adds two additional tiers of bandits and reavers similar to High-Level Enemies and SRCEO. The highest static bandit level is now 40.

- All bandit faces added are unique and hand-crafted for quality. New additions expand the bandit face pool from 276 to 830 faces total.

- Melee bandits no longer share faces which makes the melee bandit sub-types more obvious.

- Bandits mages can heal others thanks to SRCEO.

- Adds female orcs, high elves, and khajiit to the bandit pool. Adds argonian male and breton female mages to the bandit boss pool.

- Alters bandit leveled list to replace repeated male faces with unique alternatives. Slightly alters gender ratio from 7:3 to 6:4 male to female.

- Races now specialize in classes. Expect fewer Nord male archers and mages and more two-handers.

- Bandit Deserters adds a lore-friendly option for low-level bandits to appear more haggard and disorganized similar to Lore-Worthy Bandits.

- Versus Revamped adds six new classes to the vanilla bandit pool that gain new unique abilities as they level up. Detailed explanation here.

- Modular options in the installer for the low-poly vanilla head, high-poly head, static levels, no dragons, and scaling only.

Future Plans

Additional optional modules I have planned to help flesh out the enemy factions in a similar manner to Heritage.

Survival of the Fittest – After the Dragonborn has decimated the bandit population only the strongest remain. Introduces brawlers, poachers, heavies, poison mages, and dual-wielding bandits. (Status: Complete)

All to Cinders - Solstheim belongs to the Ashlanders and the Reavers aim to make that claim a reality. Reavers receive ash-blades,flame archers, ash mages, and spider matrons.

Twisted Spirits
 – Introduces druids and minotaurs to the Forsworn faction.

Cult of Worms
 – Boss-like High Inquisitors now organize warlocks into a more cohesive faction. Think Dragon Age's Tevinter Magisters.

Army of Darkness – Non-Dawnguard vampires are now Volkihar sleeper cells protected by Hellknights and Blood Mages.

Fear and Loathing
 – Adds shadow spell-blades and illusion mages to the Falmer faction.

Mihail's Guide to Monsters – A selection of Mihail's most stable and lore-friendly monsters rebalanced, rescaled, and merged.
