Oh, this is great! I was getting very frustrated with all the custom homes out there: often big huge castles but totally breaking spouse and children AI, ruining immersion with silent, personality-less NPCs. Now this mod makes Honeyside+Shadowfoot into one big custom home with all the amenities! And spouse+ children AI works well with vanilla Honeyside. And if you have some of the more... er... adult mods, Shawdowfoot provides a private place for quality time with your spouse away from the prying eyes of the children and Iona.
Great for both Thieves Guild and Dawnguard players.
Could you make a patch for yours and this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/70968 the hatch mesh conflicts with another mesh and breaks the children's room preventing me from buying it and the other mod author said he wouldn't because he doesn't use your mod. I'd move the hatch myself but I don't know how to use the creation kit and from what I understand there's no way to move doors using commands in the game. I really enjoy your mod its really convenient, but mostly it adds immersion to my playstyle. I like to think my Skyrim family lives in Honeyside but doesn't know about my second trophy house and life as a thief in the Ratways of Shadowfoot sanctum and having them connected really adds to the immersion
That is to get around the CC cell bug. Basically if you edit any CC cell, due to them being ESL flagged ESMs, the entire thing will break. This is very much necessary.
If you want to prevent people from getting into Honeyside without purchasing it, you just need to make each door require the key to the opposite location. Make the door in Shadowfoot (to Honeyside) require the Honeyside key and the door in Honeyside require the Shadowfoot key. That way no one gets into places they aren't supposed to be. Same can be done with your Homestead and Myrwatch mods.
I looked for the option to do this, but whenever I set up the lock on one side, the door it was connected to would inherit the same lock requirement. I couldn't find a way to make each door work differently (so like setting the door in Honeyside to require the Shadowfoot Key ALSO sets the linked door in Shadowfoot to have the same key requirement). It's definitely something I'm looking into and I'll update the mods as soon as I figure out how. =D Thank you for the suggestion though!
Ah, I thought that might be the case but didn't think to include it in my post. I don't use the Creation Kit often so that makes sense. I made the changes in xEdit and it seemed to work fine when I tested it.
To be honest, I'm not an experienced modder myself. In any case, it's something you can test if you'd like, I suppose.
