    WHAT'S NEW?
    Spoiler:
    Show

Most if not all issues from the original "bugpile" fixed, tested fully in 3 beta stages and a release candidate with over 20 testers most with over 400 mods.

Bad edits causing issues with vanilla main quests removed. NOTE: Angi's Camp, and quest is incorporated into the mod.

Locations: Narzulbur, Northwatch Keep, Witchmist Grove, Pale Pass Border Region and more all restored.

Vanilla interior cells cleaned of any navmesh edits.

navmesh edits reduced by at least 75% in exteriors, all edits are considered "soft overrides" in tes5edit

Rigmor is now quest aware with Skyrim's main quest from "Before the Storm" to  "A Blade in the Dark."

Rigmor is now environmentally aware and will comment on views, sneaking, danger, disease, ruins, caves, forts, inns etc

Rigmor has extra "chats" when sitting down to talk for more immersion.

Rigmor has an extra 1000 lines of dialogue by Jess.

Better player agency and narrative all round.

Brand new beginning to the mod avoiding Riverwood completely.

Rigmor's kiss animation included, when the quest is finished, place a rose in your followers inventory (anyone) and you can kiss them.

Dedicated non-romantic arc centered around friendship.

Romantic and non-romantic arcs completely separated.

Fleshed out scenes, and plot holes filled in about certain events (such as the dress scene)

A new song for Rigmor to sing in the latter part of the quest.

Some quests altered so you can choose to go "solo" and not have to take friends.

    FIXES IN 1.1b

    Spoiler:
    Show

Force stop the 3 beginning Rigmor Quest Aware "ghost" quests, stopping Lydia and Lucia from acting normally.

Khajiits race issue carrying Rigmor, it wasn't an armor issue, Khajiit race was deselected in the armorAA.

Issue fixed with the ending Boss wanting to go swimming.

The Lydia dilemma, if you choose to keep her or leave her ignoring buying the house, the Rigmor QA "ghost" was not set to fire up.

Quest pop up M13 142 - a redundant trigger box left by the old mod near stones on the white river now disabled.

Removed 50% skeevers and 10% spiders from the dungeon crawl during "The Promise" causing some to ctd.

Removed another 10 - 12 npc's from the final battle at whiterun for better stability.

Edited out an un-needed weather call, was called twice causing some issues for some.

Checked and edited any bad "door" navmeshes in custom Rigmor interiors, sometimes Rigmor won't follow through.

Added a couple of "fail safes" with traveling to Windhelm, the next stage to find sethri is triggered before you go in.

Upon triggering the stage, fail safes are disabled. Work if you FT inside too.

Hedren will sometimes not respond when he should force greet the player when a Boss dies.

If the kill script fails, there is a fail safe trigger box in Alvors foundry in the top left corner.

The bandit outside Helgen is now set to a level 3 - 30 depending on the players level (was 20)

The trolls on the mountain to the shrine are also set 3 - 30 depending on the players level (was 15)

Enemies in the M6 "The Promise" dungeon crawl re-balanced.

Grand Wizards were level 60, now leveL 12 - 40 depending on player level.

Fail safe on the final scene at the border. If the player is stuck and the quest fails to end

    FIXES IN 1.1c

    Spoiler:
    Show

Rigmor no longer uses outfits while she is a follower in ACT I.

All her stuff is temporarily placed in a nearby chest, and given back if she changes clothes.

You might still have to rearrange her armor but at least you won't lose stuff.

Issue where followers could not be recruited when buying the house in Breezehome fixed.

Possible issue and CTD when Rigmor arrives at the battle after the runner arrives fixed.

Missing dialogue during Kynesgrove scene fixed.

The miner issue completely bypassed, and is now optional.

Fixed Rigmor not following during the dungeon crawl in M6.

Better info and quest entries for support.

Orc spawn at the Hot Springs ambush reduced.

Rigmor's cot at Roses camp made slightly bigger so she don't get stuck in the collision.

    Lydia dilemma trigger box reinforced.

Some known incompatibilities with other mods (+ some fixes) in alphabetic order:

    Spoiler:
    Show

    • Ashwind Cottage (a quest starts again when you enter the place later)
    • Cities of the North (or anything that moves vanilla buildings can be an issue; Falkreath for that mod.)
    • Convenient Dialogue (breaks Sorella) -> Fix: Disable that mod
    • Enhanced Landscapes (adds items blocking a mountain path.)
    • EVG Animated Traversal (the add-on "Flat Footed" puts a fort right on top of a needed RoB location.)
    • Fast-SMP (has an issue with its 1.4.3 release that will turn an NPC invisible, known issue across multiple mods with that version.) -> Fix: Use an older version, or check if they've fixed the issue.
    • Fellheim Estate  -> Fix: put RoB last in your load order, disable walls via console
    • Immersive Armors (conflicts in the beginning) -> Fix: From their page:
Q3 : The game crashes when Immersive Armors is configuring.
A #1 : Refer to the second sticky post or
A #2: There's a conflict with the mod Rigmor of Bruma. Disable Rigmor, let IA configure then re-enable Rigmor.
    • Immersive Creatures (has been known to causes some conflicts early, I believe with spawned animals near a certain location.)
    • Improved Mountain LODs & Z Fighting Patch (adds 'caps' over many of the mountains around Skyrim. It covers the entrance to the bonus at the top of the mountain Rose sends you to,  the entrance to the first mine, the exit from that mine, down the valley to Fort Black and out the otherside for starters.)
    • JK's Interiors (might be a slight problem in the Bannered Mare, due to a chair.)
    • Joseph Russel's Writing Patches (only works on the original version, not the reboot)
    • Lordship, build your own city (uses the Overlook space)
    • Moon and Stars -> Fix: you'll need RoB below that mod due to some rocks they have in the same spot as a camp you visit briefly.
    • Nemesis animation framework (will not break the mod, but an animation won't run properly)
    • Sea Point Settlement -> Patch: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/77250
    • Skyrim Special Edition Tweaks by HeroicArchmage (breaks "The Enemy of my Enemy" by removing Imperial Light Armour.) -> Fix: Temporarily disable the mod before talking to Rigmor.
    • Snow Elf Palace (location conflict east of Windhelm)
    • Warzones Assault Attack -> Fix: put RoB last in your load order, disable walls via console
    • Wind-District Breezehome

    General advice:

    1) Don't import Rigmor into any follower frameworks. There are those that have some success with them, after the mod is finished. During the quests in the mod can cause problems.

    2) Avoid any mods that affect/modify Angi (vanilla character).

There is now a true HPH Conversion of Rigmor available by EdDante34. Using a new tool, Ed was able to take Rigmor's head and make a
    conversion to HPH.

Check it out here: Rigmor - HPH Conversion

If you use Immersive Laundry, there's now a patch (by me): Immersive Laundry - Rigmor of Bruma Patch
There is an optional file if you ONLY want to hide the shrubs around the forge at Angi's Camp.

Cities of the North - Falkreath Patches: Patch Hub

Patch for EVGAT's Flat Footed quest: Rigmor-EVGAT Mielbar Patch

I just finished Bohethias shrine battle sequence, and while so far the story seems promising, the political maquinations really grow on me and the secondary characters ironically matter more to me than Rigmor herself, I have to say I have found an extremely annoying problem.

My decissions have no meaning at all.
Every time there is anything remotely romantic between me and Rigmor (or third parties asking or insisting if I love her) my reaction is always "No, I do not love her", I'm protecting her cause I feel bad for her, she seems vulnerable and lost, and on the other hand I hate the Thalmor with a passion, so anything to annoy them is my sacred duty.

But I do not have absolutely any feelings for her, not even in an RolePlay sense.
However every time so far my answers to anything regarding romance with her have been forced to be either "Yes I love her" or "None of your bussines" which the mod takes as a "Yes I do but I don't wanna admit it".

It's really annoying because I didn't install this mod with the intention of having a romantic companion, it's not even advertised as one, I wanted to explore a new story with politics in the middle and see a bit outside of Skyrim + thirdiary characters that were reused here really well, like Agin.

I'm seriously debating wether or not even continue the questline because it feels like I'm being forced to go down a path that should be pretty much insignificant in the grand scheme of things but that character-wise is incredibly important, and I'm presented with the ilussion of choice about wether or not to say "yes" or "Not but yes", something I'm sure we all know is a main Bethesda games complain overall, given the idea of your choices mattering and then being forced into one path anyway.

Nothing annoys me more than that, given two choices and then the game choosing for me anyway.
So yeah, I'm at an impass.

Also the scripts are really easy to break, I can't tell how many times characters I was supposed to talk either dissapeared or gave me the silent treatment.
But the bugs have been talked to death already so I won't beat a dead horse, I'll just poke it with a stick to say I suffered it too.

I agree the platonic side needs more fleshing out and changes. The mod author plans improvements in the future. To split it off more. He's aware the platonic side is not what it needs to be in terms of writing.

      1. Keep saying "no" and choose platonic. You never have to romance her. As part of the story, though, it is as much about how Rigmor feels towards you, for what you do for her. It will cut off at a point, though some of the voiced lines still need work.

      2. This is a story, and essentially a linear one. Like most quests (as in Skyrim, too), player dialogue is for you to role play your personality. There are some choices, but the story is the same story.

      3. The mod runs more like a play/movie and is different from most mods. It has scenes, not just tasks to do. That makes it more unique than most mods, but creating a mod to have these specifics leads to sensitivity to the jank of the Creation Engine.

      4. Save often, be patient, and make sure to read journal entries and keep an eye on the left corner for dialogue prompts. When triggers/dialogue, etc are missed, that's the time problems tend to happen. Plus, load order and possible other mods interfering. We document what we can in the sticky notes.

I got a little problem. Playing this great mod for the 2. time now but for some reason after meeting with the Khajit in Riften (I forgot his name) I am supposed to go to Windhelm and meet Sethri.
I see him sitting in the Dark Elve Inn but I cant talk to him. He just gives me the casual NPC answers when clicking on him.

Also I cant remember if its intentional or not but my journal isn't updating either, it stays at the greyed out "check on Rigmor". No "go to Windhelm or find Sethris" etc.
But like I said can't remember if thats just a search him for yourself thing was and my last time playing the mod is a while ago.

Got it (almost last) in my load order, Lux is the only thing that comes after it but I cant imagine that Lux causes that since I had Lux when playing Rigmor for the first time already..

That means you missed a trigger point and probably some dialogue earlier in the story.

You need to retrace your steps and do the things in the "correct" (i.e. intended) order.

      Spoiler:
      Show
      - Did you meet Baa Ren Dar in Riften?

      - Did you fight the bounty hunters in the Bee and barb?

      - Did you leav Riften through the correct gate?

      - Did you talk to Rigmor by the lake?

      - Did you stop at the hot springs?

      - Did you encounter Mr Tibbs and his group?

All these things happen before you are supposed to enter Windhelm.

I have say, really liked how much character building and "just hang out" you get to spend with Rigmor, and even though she comes across bratty, she does grow on you, like a sassy comfy moss. I wish more companion mods would have more content like that.

I also liked the level design, the mountain climbing etc. was a fun touch.

I would have personally liked to have more dialogue choices regarding your own reactions just for flavor/role play sake, because it does feel a lot of times, that you are playing a set character with a set personality, instead of role playing your own character.

I also think how Azura, Boethia and Malacath behaved wasn't really in line with their natures, Boethia more so than the others, but anyway, not a big deal, just a personal opinion.
(Imo. Azura was a bit too "good" instead of her manipulative "I bless obedience, and torment defiance", Malacath was a bit too back-stabby/desperate instead of honorable and cruel and Boethia I'm pretty sure despises the very notion of love, and would vomit acid on your face if you even mentioned it to her)

I did encounter some bugs that required reloading, and it did happen quite a few times:
    Spoiler:
    Show

    • First time was at Angi's camp, when I talked to her too quickly and she broke, and quest progress stopped there. There were a few additional times where this "talk too early" caused a quest to break, but I was able to avoid it by just being careful when to talk to people.

    • The miners (the let's go save Rose from Thalmor -quest) at the entrance turned hostile, but then those at the slopes did not even react to me. Trying it again, by talking to the entrance miners instead of attacking them right away activated the talk prompts with the rest too.

    • Talking to the Khajiit at the tavern in Riften breaks really easily. I'm not sure if it's another mod's influence, but he would get up mid conversation, go and dance with a mug for a while, return to the table and continue. This happened twice, first time the dialogue just broke, second time he was able to finish his talk.

    • When you go the Windhelm tavern, where you are supposed to sit down and talk to Rigmor, for some reason, I couldn't target her for talk prompts if she was sitting. I had to console move her out of the chair and talk before she was able to sit down again. This did not happen all the time, just in the tavern sections/chairs.

    • The Thalmor base/secret docks area spawned with no enemies. Reloading and entering again made the enemies spawn.

    • The quest where you go to the Stormcloak camp in Eastmarch was so far the buggiest area. When you are supposed to follow the stormcloak leader to find his men, he can not find his way out of the camp, at all. I reloaded at least 6 times, not once did he do anything but take a single step on his horse, spun around a bit, waited 5s and took another step towards a random direction. I had to .moveto player -console command him out of the camp which did work, but it also caused the quest stage of "follow him out of the camp" to never finish, but it did not prevent the quest to progress so whatever. On the way back he worked better, but I still had to console command him back into the camp too. First I thought the navmesh was broken, but no, it's just him, every other NPC can navigate the camp just fine. He also had brain fart during the phase were you ask him for help to save Rigmor, where he would say "let's go talk inside", while he was already inside, and I had to console move him out of the cabin so he would walk back into the cabin, which was more of a funny bug, but still.

    • Next biggest break occurred during the Rigmor's "speech to the sons of Talos". She never held a speech, she just stood there for what felt like a forever. I also had to push her off the stage to get the progression prompt for the "(optional) go on to the stage with her" even though I was on the stage the whole time. After several minutes the quest assumed she had held her speech and continued. I did try reloading a few times but it didn't work.

    • Some general bugs were, when you are supposed to go to a specific spot, but nothing happens, but if you leave and come back it registers it properly usually during the 2nd or 3rd repeat.

All that said the mod is fantastic, and the content focus was rightly put on Rigmor, her journey, her character and her relationship with the Dragonborn. Voice acting was great, especially Rigmor's acting was actually top notch. I hope I wasn't overly critical and I'm looking forward to the final chapter of the trilogy.

    Thanks for all the effort!

      Thanks for your feedback.

As for several of the bugs you mentioned, the general advice is to take things slowly, reload if necessary, and put a priority on the Rigmor-mod(s) - both regarding load order and ingame proceeding.

I'm stuck at Angi's camp, I have no availability for dialogue with Angi, I have some dialogue with Rigmor but when I tell him let's go and get on the horse he doesn't move and the horse ends up in the tent upside down, how can I unblock the situation?

Since you can be at Angi's camp at different times, please tell us more about what quest you're on, what was that last thing you were doing.

You can try loading an older save, before getting to Angi's camp. You need to make sure RoB is as low as possible in your load order.

No more dialogue usually means there's a missed action, or dialogue, and Angi and/or Rigmor are waiting for something else to happen.

Your horse in the tent...I have no clue how that happens, so I assume a mod conflict of some sort.

I got there immediately after Rose's disappearance, apart from the discussion with Angi about who the protector is, nothing has changed, loot doesn't report errors, I'll try to put the file last and see what happens, by the way yesterday I noticed that the mission is no longer present in the list. I would prefer to avoid reloading, I'm at level 69 and I wouldn't want to find myself back at the beginning

Use any Angi replacers? Make sure RoB loads after it.

What was the conversation with Rigmor? She should have talked a bit, told you to go look at her map in Angi's place, while she rests. You should be able to have a brief first conversation with Angi.

Usually, some step in the process has been missed. Picking up a note, a little more dialogue.

No replacement I use beauties of skyrim for the characters, with Rigmor there was a chat about his situation and after that there were only 3 lines of dialogue left which lead to nothing, I will try to take the map from Angi and see what happens
I managed to find the save before arriving at Angi's camp and I retraced the entire path in case I missed something, I noticed that towards the end of the dialogue with Rigmor a passage is too fast and I can't read what I have to do it, I'll try to do it again to see if I can understand what he's saying. I disabled all mods that involve bodies in some way, but nothing changes

I finished Rigmor of Bruma and have to say to anyone who wants to play it, it's a great coming of age story and really adds value to Skyrim by letting players experience a story type that isn't always seen in western gaming and rarely done is well in gaming at all. For those that have trouble finishing the quests, here are some notes I had that might help you. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

In scenes where Rigmor changes outfits, she needs to be wearing her default outfit and should not have modded equipment or accessories. It may cause a CTD.

If an NPC does not respond, that means the scripting sequence is broken. This mod scripting sequence is very restrictive at times so some actions done by NPCs need to be completed prior to any action done by the player. This includes battles. Watch the YouTube playthrough videos and notice which NPCs move first and what they do before the player can perform an action.

NPCs that do not move can sometimes be fixed by moving far away from them and then back to them to trigger them to move.

The following commands can be used as a final resort if a quest cannot progress any further even after following the YouTube playthroughs correctly. It is not recommended to use them unless there is no other option as it skips some quest stages. You can use SSEdit to find the quest and stage. The ones with descriptions are the stages that actually count. Most quest stages are empty and do not count.

SetObjectiveCompleted RigmorQuestXX XX 1 where XX is a number. 1 means mark it completed. This is useful if the NPC refuses to do anything even when everything looks correct or you are stuck and there is nothing left to do to progress the quest. Also note that you can try to spawn in an enemy to fix NPC issues. Any enemy will be attacked by the NPC and the NPC may return to the correct state.

movetoplayer XX where XX is the NPC id when you click on them. Use this if an NPC is stuck in the geometry. Do not move them too far from where they are stuck as some stages require them to be at certain points in their journey. You can also use force shout to move them as long as it won't turn them hostile.

SetStage RigmorQuestXX XX where the XX are numbers. Only use as a last resort near the end of a quest that won't progress. Some quest stages have to be followed exactly so there's a chance a player can rush the quest and miss a crucial NPC interaction that prevents the quest from completing.
