Hey everyone! As you can see, SUT for SSE is now live! I just wanted to post a little thank you note on here to icecreamassassin and our modding team, for all their hard work keeping SUT updated. And for porting it over for all the Special Edition users to enjoy Thanks Ice! We are all looking forward to more of this mods development in the future!
Also, a thank you to all the previous users of SUT who have stuck with us through all the years of development. Without you this mod would not be where it is today! Cheers! And happy hunting
Ok so first off I just found the battle arm sword on the table right before entering the ragged flagon not in windhelm warehouse. And second I cant get the item id for the sai as all I get when I type in help sai is id's for NPC's that start with sailor. This is a problem as I apparently sold it without realizing it was a unique weapon and am to far into my game to go back and get it again. Does anyone know how to get the id I need to spawn another one or am I just screwed. Would appreciate a quick response as so far any question I've ever asked in these mod posts has never been answered before. thanks in advance.
Found a crash to desktop scenario with this mod that was driving me crazy. No known fix and 100% reproducible.
1. Load an existing save game. 2. Quit to main menu (don't exit Skyrim!) 3. Create a New Game and new character. 4. Go into MCM for Skyrim Unique Treasures and click either of the two checkboxes (for lore friendly or npc ownership of treasures). Game will crash 100% of the time.
If you add a step 3a, 3b, and 3c to the process above, you can do step 4 without crashing.
3a. Save game. 3b. Quite Skyrim to Desktop. 3c. Load save game created in step 3a. Proceed to step 4.
I believe this has something to do with Skyrim not completely purging game state from memory between save game loads/new game creation. Obviously, exiting Skyrim completey and relaunching the game purges memory as the bug does not exist if that process is followed.
This is primarily a problem if you use MCM Recorder to configure Skyrim Unique Treasures since it will run immediately after step 3 and do step 4 automatically and not give you the opportunity to do steps 3a, 3b, and 3c. Took me forever to figure out what was causing my crashing when creating a new game from when I had already been playing the game. I've been extensively testing my mod list to get as stable an instance as possible (nearly 1,000 mods) and constantly creating new characters has been part of that testing...the regular crashing I was getting while creating new characters led me to believe I had major mod conflicts...nope, it was the fact that you cannot configure Skyrim Unique Treasures on a new character if you have already loaded another save game in that session (unless you restart Skyrim first, as noted).
If you do this sequence of events, you would never know this crash bug exists:
1. Create a new game 2. Configure Skyrim Unique Treasures via MCM or MCM Recorder 3. Play the game
This might help some people, though, to understand why they are getting crashes with a new character or while testing their mod lists (especially if they MCM Recorder the configuration of their mods).
Unfortunately the crashlog had no helpful information...after MANY hours of troubleshooting, I figured this issue out on a hunch since the game would crash about 30 seconds after my MCM Recording would kick off and so I decided to set it to manual. Once I did that, and the game no longer crashed after character creation, I stepped through the 26 individual items in my MCM Recording (previously set to Auto) one by one until I found that the one for this mod was causing the crash. I then did another test where instead of using my MCM Recording, I just went into the MCM and checked one of the boxes in this mod's MCM, and had an immediate crash.
What made this so devious is that configuring this mod via the MCM works just fine (manually via MCM or via MCM Recorder) if doing it on a new game / new character where you haven't previously loaded a save game where it was configured since the last time you launched Skyrim.
It's too bad that Skyrim doesn't completely reset the game world/memory state when loading a new save game or going back to Main Menu. So many issues would likely never occur.
Looking at the papyrus logs may have led me to this discovery sooner...good point.
Love this mod. Use it in every playthrough. Just started a new playthrough and none of the items are spawning in - e.g, the treasure chest exists on top of the western watchtower but there's no treasure in it :( anyone know why??
An idea for any future update (one can dream): Give us an INI we can edit when setting up so we don't have to futz with the MCM at the restart of every run for those of us who prefer the lore and owner options? It's not much, but when you have dozens of MCM menu to parameter at every new run, it adds up.

Released: December 23, 2023
Also added patches for Lanterns of Skyrim 2 and the CC Orcish Scaled mod to the optional file section.
Turns out you need to search using this console command: help sai 0 weap
This will return only weapons that have "sai" in it.
Everyone has a different itemID for this as it depends on your load order.

BTW, did you ever produce a crashlog or papyrus log to look at? That would be cool.

I'm sure if you let them know about this they will make one for this mod too.
