The original Search and Seizure for Good Guys unfortunately contains a bug which prevents the player from actually finishing the quest with the alternative questline provided by the mod.
I have fixed the relevant dialog topic and script.
Included esp has been ESLified to save a load order slot.
Just unzip into your data directory, or install using your favorite mod manager.
Load it after the original Search and Seizure for Good Guys.
Unfortunately it seems that Bethesda changed the base script for this quest in one of the last patches for SSE, so that you now fail the quest when warning Ogmund, so I had to restore and recompile that script.
If you don't feel comfortable with overwriting one of the game's base scripts, you can skip the file "QF_FreeformMarkarthM_00064798.pex" provided by this mod.
You can still warn Ogmund and receive the reward for it, but the quest will fail in this case.
