Thanks much for the mod. Something that was needed in the game. The only thing missing now is a way to make the Falmer use Falmer staffs. It' s frustrating trying to find a staff and the only one they seem to carry is a vanilla one I have an XEdit script that can make weapons craft able, such as the dragon bone ones, but I don't think it would work on staves. Edit Found out that the XEdit script to make items craftable does work on the falmer staffs. Seems like cheating though, crafted at the forge with only leather strips. Anybody have a better idea to get these staffs?
Dude, all mods are cheating. Straight up, all mods are cheating. If they weren't cheating, they would allow achievements on modded games. As it is, you need a cheater mod to allow achievements to count while cheating. I love that mod.
More importantly though: How precisely does it harm you how someone else plays their SINGLE PLAYER game? They can play with every big-boobie mod out there with God-Mode turned on and batch-files for every single unique in the game and guess what? That still doesn't have any effect on you and how you play your game.
And finally, this is an add-on for Legacy of the Dragonborn. Making museum REPLICAS of most items is part of the quests.
You're taking this too seriously, it was partly a joke.
Second, no, the reason achievements are disabled for all mods is because it's easier to just blanket disable them for all mods than for Bethesda to try and determine which mods do and don't count as cheating. Calling mods like iNeed and Frostfall, mods which can dramatically INCREASE the difficulty of the game "Cheating" is ridiculous.
Third, it's not much of an artifact museum if everything is fake, the replicas are so you can use the artifacts without leaving empty spots in the museum. All I said was that this mod bypasses the step of actually obtaining the original relic, which is a prerequisite for making a replica normally, that is, by definition, counterfeiting, and definitely counts as cheating.
Fourth, I EXPLICITLY said I WAS NOT KNOCKING THE MOD. I cheat all the time, I use many cheat mods, Additemmenu, Project Proteus, leveler's tower, and even some really old ones like Gifts of Akatosh and Dragonborn Crafting Hall, all of which are pure cheating, and I frequently use dozens of console commands including noclip and godmode to bypass everything from irritating enemies to broken quest steps.
Stop acting like I'm railing against people for cheating, I'm not and I very clearly stated that I wasn't. I made this comment because I'm nitpicky about definitions, that's it, there is no need to launch into some defensive tangent.
I don't see the Dragonbone and Snow Elven items as replicas. If they are, then any Dwarven weapons and armor you make at the forge are also replicas. Same could proabably be said about Daedric, vanilla Dragon and/or Stalhrim items made at the forge.
Worth pointing out that Deepholme exists in LotD, which explicitly encourages you to fill the museum with fakes for immersion and roleplay purposes. You're meant to put all the REAL artifacts somewhere safe and out of the way.
Thank you for this, and I appreciate that there are different files.
I am using an old version of Jaysus' Swords (that still has the crafting recipes) so I don't need that one.
As for the Ancient Falmer items: Yes, I have a character that's done it all and still hasn't found the shield but I prefer it that way. You are likely to find most of those items from first visits to every area, and the Loremasters do respawn (if rarely). I am also still harvesting Falmer areas because I am missing two of those rare staves of theirs.
But the dragonbone staves - yes please! Unnamed Dragon Priests are rare as it is. I think I may have encountered 20 or so over the course of my three latest characters but I've NEVER seen one of those staves.
EDIT: I just realized, I can get those staves in my current game, even though I fought all the named dragon priests before installing this component. (Taking advantage of the "re-match" feature from Konahrik's Accoutrements.) Awesome.

Not knocking the mod, I get not wanting to deal with RNG, but from an immersion perspective it is definitely still cheating.
