btw, for those of you who use the Diversity mod, Diversity overwrites 9 of the 15 NPCs in this patch, thus removing the faction changes. If you use a bashed patch you can add the Factions bash tag to CFTO_fix.esp and it will preserve the faction changes in your bashed patch. Also, LOOT does sort this plugin correctly, but I added CFTO.esp as a master anyway just in case (that seemed to be missing?).
CFTO isnt a master because this only modifies the original Betheseda carriage drivers, CFTO creates new carriage drivers - but forgets to add the original beth ones to exclusion lists for some missions.
So theres no real point adding CFTO as a master except perhaps to idiot-proof the mod ( its useless without CFTO )
Without CFTO.esp as a master, couldn't CFTO_fix.esp get sorted before it and the NPC records would get overwritten? In any case, thanks for including the Factions bashed tag because I've got other plugins that touch these NPCs, e.g. Diversity and AI Overhaul. All the important values from all these mods are forwarded to my bashed patch.
You can also add your own user metadata to LOOT so that certain mods get loaded after certain other mods. For example, for the At Your Own Pace modules, the author recommends loading them really late, after Alternate Start mods even, but LOOT doesn't do that by default, so the solution is to set all the At Your Own Pace modules to the "Late Loaders" group and voila, you're all good.
I don't use Vortex myself, but I imagine setting user metadata is paramount to ensuring proper load order with that mod manager since you can't manually rearrange your load order, because it's so "LOOT integrated".

And that is why you should manage your load order manually with SSEEdit instead of trusting LOOT.

Only mods with DLL plugins for SKSE needs an updated. Scripts mod or esp mods, doesn't need it.
