SE version is here!

Super special thanks to YEAGER83 for the beautiful screenshots!!! <3
And please be sure to check out the user submitted pics (and also submit your own)! :D

Inspired by Pon's plush sheep follower, I decided my game could use more inexplicably sentient stuffed animals. I like to make stuffed animals irl using the crochet technique known as amigurumi, so I figured, what better way to tie my hobbies together? The textures are even photographs of crocheted cloth that I made just for this! :D

All around the world you will find cuddly crocheted companions just waiting to go on adventures with you

Please see the article here, which contains the names and locations of all the Plushies!
Sorry, this list was getting very long lol

  • Dragonborn is required as of 2.0! This is due to the dragons being rigged to the netch skeleton. No exception will be made.
  • Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - Not a hard requirement, but for those plushies with voice sets not recognized by the vanilla follower list (specifically child voices, the elf haughty types, and a couple others), you will need this in order to get the follower dialogue. If you're wondering why stuffed animals have voices, please keep reading.

  • Open Cities users will need to download the patch in the optional files! It's a separate ESP that needs to load AFTER Open Cities Skyrim.esp and RM Plushie Pals.esp. Without this patch, Ace, Jade, Moose, and Rex will not appear.
  • Cosmetic mods that alter the locations at which the plushies are placed have the potential to "hide" them; ie, a woodpile placed in the same location as Schatzie, etc. Open Cities is an exception due to the critical conflict it creates, but I'm probably not going to make patches for every city overhaul mod out there. If the conflict is serious (as in, you cannot access the plushie you're after at all without the console), let me know and I'll see about making a patch!

  • The dragons' dialogue has no audio. I'm not sure why this is; they will still follow you, and if you have subtitles on you will see that they are, in fact, speaking, but I suspect this is to do with the netch rig or behavior. I'm looking into whether this is fixable or not, but I published anyway because A) there's a good chance that it isn't, and B) there's no other suitable rig so it is what it is. Any insight into this is appreciated!

  • These do not utilize the animal companion system. Rather, they are set up like regular followers with vanilla voice sets. Why? I think it's hilarious. If you're not sure, give it a try! I didn't think I'd like Pon's sheep having a voice but ultimately that's what warmed me up to it.
  • Most plushies (except the dragons and sea turtles) are rigged to the rabbit skeleton due to the fun bobbing motion it gives them. Since 3.0 I have adjusted their positioning so that they no longer sink into the ground by default, however they will still occasionally "burrow". This is part of the rabbit behavior file and, as far as I understand, cannot be changed. Sorry about that.
  • By the above token, due to the llamas' size, they show their doofiness a bit more than the unicorns. It's up to you whether you find this endearing, hilarious, or hideous.

A follower overhaul mod that allows for multiple followers (in case you want to catch them all or want a slot free for someone who can fight)

Are You There - An extremely handy tool I learned about thanks to this very kind review of my mod. If you're like many users and have mods that create super dense, tall grass, this is great for finding Pals like Norbert and Billie.

You may do (almost) whatever you want with these meshes and textures without permission, so long as credit and a link back here is given.

This includes:
  • Porting the mod to other versions of Skyrim
  • Altering the mod and publishing those changes as a patch
  • Using the assets in other mods
  • Translating the mod and posting it to sites for native speakers of that language

Donation points and straight donations are A-OK! However, no aspect of this mod may be put behind a paywall of any sort. If you wish to mirror the unaltered mod elsewhere, please ask first! It's unlikely I'll say no, but I like to know where my files wind up.

Anything you make with this mod and its assets I'm happy to link to from here!
