Just an FYI: This patch should still work with ver. 2.7.9 of NFF, and 5.2.2 of Requiem, as of the time of writing this comment (June 2022).
Note if using u/JaySerpa's Follower Death and Injury Chance (NFF Version): make sure that mod's esp file (FollowerDeathChance_NFF.esp) loads AFTER this patch.
Do i still need to put NFF below the requiem for the indifferent esp? if so how do you do it? EDIT: figured out the issue it was ConsoleUtilSSE not NFF
thanks, glad to know. There is a NFF mesage about overvrite status of 2 followers. do you happen to know anything about that? There is info in NFF with even some fix - but I cannot made it to work. - thats this sticky post no 3: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/55653?tab=posts and my screenshot https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1704/12856400-1711383269.jpg
Why does this patch reverts Game Settings back to the ones made by NFF? Those values are ridiculous (iFriendHitCombatAllowed = 15 and iAllyHitNonCombatAllowed = 5), with Requiem it made sense (both are =1)
Because those are (mostly) follower-related settings, and NFF is a follower management mod, so I opted to let its changes take priority. I agree that 15 is probably way too lenient, but Requiem's values of 1 are just equally stupid. Skyrim NPC AI is not good enough to support that, lol. Especially if multiple followers might be involved.
I actually had it in my mind that NFF's MCM included options to change these values - but I just checked it and it seems it does not. Hmm. Perhaps I got confused with another mod...
Maybe I'll compromise and set it back to the vanilla values (3 or 4).
Hey, sorry I missed this comment. I've tried out a few combinations of things like Simple Follower Sandbox and Simple Outfit System, Follower Trap Safety (basically the only features from NFF I wanted). I looked at Follower Live Package as well, after seeing Dylan Perry playing with it in a Wildlander vid a while back, too - although saying that one's a headache to set up and make presentable would be an understatement.
I dunno - I might just swallow my pride and go back to using NFF.
Since NFF is back up on Nexus with a new version, does this work with the new one? I updated and can't get it to work but I've had this issue in the past. Just checking to see if you updated. Either way, cheers.
It should be fine. I'll admit after the whole, uh, drama I stopped using NFF myself. But I downloaded the latest version available on Nexus, and it looks like none of the relevant form IDs etc. have been changed, so it should still work.
The patch has been totally remade, new version now 2.0. Thanks to some help/advice from Ogerboss (the Requiem lead dev) it no longer needs to overwrite the script/quest from Requiem. This means it should be more future-proof (short of massive changes in how Requiem or NFF work internally) and avoid certain (albeit unlikely) compatibility issues.
However, unfortunately I'm not sure if an upgrade from 1.0 -> 2.0 of the patch is safe/possible an on ongoing game. The good news is that ver. 1.0 is not "broken" per se, so it should be safe to continue using for now if you really don't want to start a new game.
Please just upgrade to 2.0 of this patch at your earliest convenience (i.e. the next time you start a new game). Thanks for the support, and apologies for the trouble!
Due to the, uhh, recent drama, I assume? That's a shame. I have no problem with "the other site" (I'm pretty sure you can just say "Loverslab" on Nexus these days, lol - I guess I'll find out) but if that is the case I'm not particularly keen on supporting authors with that kind of "take my ball and go home" attitude either...
Oh, well... I already made this patch so I'll leave it here for now. I've actually been talking with Ogerboss (Requiem lead dev) about making a better version of this patch too, so I might have an update soon.

with your patch there is no message ;-) So I'm assuming it is working

Why? I wonder.
