Changelogs
So, enough things changed that I may as well just update the description page, the old descriptions are under the spoiler tag below.
Version 3.5
1. Changes exp values of Skyrim's got talent a bit, so now you get better slightly quicker initially, but the bonus exp will fall off as you get better at whatever instrument you're playing at the time.

2. Added the ability to see your bard exp. You can check the total exp you have through the magic effect tab after being taught, or after playing an instrument. You have 180 seconds after doing either of those things to check(did this to help with magic effect tab clutter).

3. Added a new buff called "Bardic Inspiration". Basically when your character is taught how to play an instrument by a bard, this buff will activate, so you gain a bit more instrument exp for 30 in-game minutes. Not sure if this is too long or too little, let me know.

4. I locked the ability from Bards Reborn to perform at Inns, until your character either has 50 exp in an instrument. I also altered some scripts so that using the song system from Skyrim's Got Talent counts for the performance quest. You will also increase the "Bard Skill" from Bards Reborn.

5. The Song systems are now consolidated into a single power called "play instrument", provided you have a lute, flute, drum, or wanderer's lute(the wearable lute from Bards Reborn), you can use this power and play songs. It will bring up a crafting menu that has the pickable songs.

6. I changed the Skyrim's got talent messages to be in first person, rather than 3rd person.

7. I added requirements for the Bards reborn songbooks. So now you need to have a certain amount of instrument exp to play songs. An amount of 50 in the respective instrument.

8. I changed the messageboxes for the bards reborn songbooks, to make it more clear which instruments are needed for specific songs.

9. I changed some of the requirements for the exams for the Bards Reborn bards college questline from using the bard level from become a bard to the instrument levels from skyrim's got talent. I also changed some quest journal text to reflect this a bit.

10. I changed the experience bonus for Skyrim's Got Talent from the "tending the flames" quest, to the Bards Reborn study questline, so as you complete exams for instrument, you will receive bonus exp for that instrument in the future.

11. Increased the cost of learning from bards not at the bards college, from 100 gold to 250. Time will pass while they teach you. They can teach you until any of your instrument exp reaches 50.

12. Bards college students and teachers able to teach you specific instruments, time will pass while they teach you. The amount of exp gained is the same regardless of who teaches you, the upper limit will change though(teachers will generally allow you to reach 75 in an instrument).

13. Spellsongs now require lute exp of 75 to craft, as well as completing the bard's college exam questline.

The Song systems are now consolidated into a single power called "play instrument", provided you have a lute, flute, drum, or wanderer's lute(the wearable lute from Bards Reborn), you can use this power and play songs. It will bring up a crafting menu that's split into 2 parts, the songbook section, and the instrument section.

- The Songbook section has all the songbooks, and use the become a bard system for playing instruments. Learning songs from songbooks will add to this section, there's no limitation on learning a songbook, but you still need an instrument level of 50 to play the songbook. The Skyrim's Got Talent songs are located here as "self-taught", basically it's the songbook version from before version 3.0, and uses the Bards Reborn system.

- The Instrument Section has all the Skyrim's Got Talent songs(all 149 of them) split between instrument, and skill level. As your skill level increases, you automatically get songs for the corresponding skill level. You can play a random song of a specific skill level, you can pick a specific song, or you can "play normally" which will be the equivalent of activating the instrument in your inventory.

6. I changed the Skyrim's got talent messages to be in first person, rather than 3rd person.

7. I added requirements for the Bards reborn songbooks. So now you need to have a certain amount of instrument exp to play songs. An amount of 50 in the respective instrument.

So this patch does some stuff:

You have 90 seconds after doing either of those things to check(did this to help with magic effect tab clutter).

3. Added a new buff called "Bardic Inspiration". Basically when your character is taught how to play an instrument by a bard, this buff will activate, so you gain a bit more instrument exp for 30 in-game minutes. Not sure if this is too long or too little, let me know.

4. Playing an instrument will give you a small amount of speech skill exp, do let me know how this ends up working for you, it may be too little, it may be too much, I'm open to changing it to something higher or lower.

The specific amount of speech exp gained will be ~300-700ish. It uses random values, and has a few variables like whether you completed the bards college questline, whether your character is well rested, and whether they have the bardic inspiration buff.

5. Added songbooks containing the Skyrim's Got Talent Songs, all of the solo ones at least. So no duo songs.
There's a few things to note regarding this:
- The songs in the songbook use the become a bard system from Bards Reborn, so you can learn the songs through a songbook, and forget them through the songbook. So on the plus side you can use the songs to perform at an inn, downside is that it also uses the Bards Reborn Audience response, so you won't be booed even if you play terribly.

- The songbooks from Skyrim's Got Talent are not bought through merchants like the other songbooks, instead, they are made at the spellsong scriptorium added by Bards Reborn, in the Bard's College. The reason I did this was to make it more like "oh, my character made these songs from scratch.". Anyway, you'll be able to
make the songbooks as your character's skill with the instruments in question increase.

6. I changed the Skyrim's got talent messages to be in first person, rather than 3rd person.

7. I added requirements for the Bards reborn songbooks. So now you need to have a certain amount of instrument exp to play songs. A minimum of 25 in any instrument to learn a songbook, and increasing amounts of exp depending on the number of songs.

8. I changed the messageboxes for the bards reborn songbooks, to make it more clear which instruments are needed for specific songs, as well as the exp amount needed to play them.

9. I changed some of the requirements for the exams for the Bards Reborn bards college questline from using the bard level from become a bard to the instrument levels from skyrim's got talent. I also changed some quest journal text to reflect this a bit.

10. Increased the cost of learning from bards not at the bards college, from 100 gold to 250. Time will pass while they teach you. They can teach you until any of your instrument exp reaches 50.

11. Bards college students and teachers able to teach you specific instruments, time will pass while they teach you. The amount of exp gained is the same regardless of who teaches you, the upper limit will change though(teachers will generally allow you to reach 75 in an instrument).

12. Spellsongs now require lute exp of 75 to craft, as well as completing the bard's college exam questline.

So yeah, depending on feedback there's probably some parts of the patch that will change. I'm currently working with the author of Bards Reborn to add some stuff to the bard's college, so that will probably affect some parts of the implementation in the future too.
