At Warmaiden's below the stairs, to the left of the cabinet there's a vase on the ground. I knocked it over, and when I went to sweep it up, after I clicked on the broom, it just uprighted itself is all, the broom didn't show and my character didn't sweep. I tried this several times, close to the vase and further away, each time the same, it just popped back up right, no broom sweeping.
I'm not sure if this is a known issue, where sometimes you go to sweep, and all you see are the objects being placed back in their correct positions, if so I hope this can be fixed.
I really love the immersion, seeing the character sweep.
I was saying that when I went to get the broom to sweep up the pot on the bottom left that had fallen over. The broom never appeared and my NPC never swept, the pot just uprighted itself is all.
So there are times when the broom doesn't appear and the NPC doesn't sweep, and fallen objects simply move to their correct position is all.
Ok, I hope you understand now? Sorry if I didn't make it clear before.
I thought every time you enable the broom to clean up physics mess, you're suppose to see your NPC sweeping?
I'm assuming because the area my NPC was located, was smaller and more constrictive, if smaller more constrictive spaces will sometimes cause the broom to not appear with the NPC sweeping.
Is there anyway to fix this, so no matter the area the NPC stands in, they will always take out the broom and sweep?
I've noticed that in smaller spaces this where it seems to happen more often. But even if the character is in a small area, as you can see in the pic I posted, it's not that small of an area.
I can certainly understand if the character was standing in a very small area, with barely any room to move, that makes sense. I'm only talking about areas that are small, but there is still room for the character to move around, take out the broom and sweep.
Some times too in smaller areas, the sweeping animation happens faster. Maybe there's a speed issue, where the animation happens faster with only one object that needs sweeping, or it's faster with one object in a smaller space. Maybe the animation needs to be slowed down, so the broom can appear and the object is swept.
I'm not worried, I'm just asking and reporting an issue to help, because I actually thought the point of the mod, was to clean with a broom since the Description page says; Use broom to clean up physics mess
I love having slow laid back easy game play, doing various indoor chores, cleaning, decorating, remodeling, etc... So it's nice having the broom animation. It would be nice if we could take out the broom to pretend we were sweeping the floors too, for any length of time, maybe that would fix the issue I see if we could always sweep with it, besides cleaning up the actual messes.
THANKS, keep up the great work, it's really appreciated!
@glennkahlil it says "Plays animations" right there in the description... Regardless, I'm glad there's such a simple mod to let me fix things being knocked over. It's very easy for really any character to knock over a perfectly set table or whatnot so animations or not I'm giving it a shot.
Replying a bit late to confirm that I'm pretty sure it does. I've been able to use it to clean up a few of JK's interiors after getting that bug where the food and plates go flying when you sit down at a table.
I love you for creating this mod and wish you all the best. Anyone know of mods that will actually prevent me from knocking everything over just by looking at it wrong? lol
Late reply but if its still relevant? no spell force go well with this. Obviously it only effects spells but at least you dont have to sweep in every room.
oh I just came here to say the same I usually train my armor and alteration skills with Uthgerd, if you use smart cast it doesnt count as casting so I just let her beat me when I reach the skill cap ( using experience too). The Bannered Mare is a bit bloody :D
It may be, that I am just to dumb to figure it out, but deinstalling the mod may result in an corrupt savefile that can't be fixed with a script-cleaner. Had CTD's with the broom, unfortunally, guess it's something with one of the many other mods I use, but honestlly I wasn't invested enough to figure the incompability out. So I tried to remove the mod as told. But even with (supposedly) cleaned scripts the game just asks me if I want to search for the mod in the creation club (LUL). Can't run the savefile without the mod. It's not too bad I guess, I just won't use the broom ....
will never understand why people remove mods mid install and think some random tool will fix their save files. Skyrim engine is notoriously jank and finicky. Adding and uninstalling mods during a save is ALWAYS a recipe for disaster no matter how 'safe' an author claims it is. Just make a new game. It's not hard.
I tried using this in Proudspire Manor, which was already a bit of a mess when I moved in, and as I began to sweep everything on the shelves began to fall off. No idea what I'm doing wrong.
