For some weird reason, suddenly, instead of showing the followers names, some of them were replaced by some "numbers"... and since then it has been impossible to "un-select" some followers (I can't give order to just ONE follower since then...)
how hard would it be for someone with almost no scripting knowledge to be able to create a hotkey system that uses spid for follower mods that allows you do the following with no ui or message box: 1. press (num1) to make them wait and press again to make them follow you. 2. press (num2) have them wait in a designated location set in a mcm or other type of menu and press it again for them to begin following you from wherever they were previously waiting.
num 1 and 2 are just example keys set in either a mcm, ini, etc. nothing on the nexus does this that I've seen or at least doesn't do it as minimalistic as id like. if its not that hard...id love to make it myself but i have no idea what the actual difficulty of doing something like this is. Ive only messed with character stats and combat styles and made patches so far.
tried it and didn't like it but that's my opinion. i was just asking how hard a thing like i was talking about would be as i would like to make that myself.
there is a longstanding issue ive experienced with this mod in that sometimes upon telling a companion to wait they will immediately (or within a few minutes of being told to wait) auto dismiss themselves.
ive tried multiple versions of the mod and its been present in all of them.
I'm using nether's follower framework, i dont know if that is part of the cause for this bug or not.
I have tested both mods independently, as well on clean installs with no other mods, and this issues only appears when both mods are installed together.
for whatever reason, at seemingly random intervals, upon telling a vanilla game follower to wait they will act as though they have been waiting for the full 3? day maximum waiting period and auto dismiss themselves.
the issue doesent appear with modded followers like inigo and lucian.
I have tried seeing if perhaps it is a conflict with certain settings in NFF, by testing if the issue still appears when using NFF's built in follower command hotkey and command window and the issue doesent appear. the bug only happens if I attempt to command a NFF managed follower with this mod.
I have also tested using the option in NFF to force a follower to wait forever and the bug appears both with the option enabled and disabled.
ok, try telling all nff controlled waiting followers to follow you via dialog, and then never choosing that dialog option ever again, only use the quick commands in the future
I'm my current playthrough I haven't even used the vanilla dialog commands for any of my companions (aside from inigo), ive only used those from this mod.
Any chance to implement the "Stealth" command from AFT? The only thing keeping me from testing other follower frameworks aside from AFT is this useful command.
I wonder same. I'm kinda having army of undeads do my biding but as undead they are, they lack any form of reasonable communication resulting in running after any red dot on compass.

Any guidance on what version is preferred or pros/cons? (I'm guessing non-VR players would also like to know this)
I suppose, PO3 version, not spid one?
