Sadly, I don't have the time, and I'm not sure even how to do it. I've been away too long! You are welcome to do whatever you like with my work. Good luck and I appreciate that you like them enough to do something with them.
Bellyache"
I am therefore taking over the Bellyaches series.
I will be handling the animal replacer pack and the HD Dragon Pack tomorrow...
Looking at the FOMOD, it's mentioned that with this mod the dragons are here from the start. If that's the case, will Dragons From The Start double up dragons?
I started a new game... went out from Helgen's cave... followed Ralof to Riverwood... and when we reached Standing Stones, a dragon appeared and attacked us!!! But... I didn't even went to Riverwood... to meet Ralof's sister... to tell me to go to Whiterun... to get the mission from the Jarl to go to the attacked tower to the westsouth... so a dragon WILL APPEAR for the first time... and the main quest start!!!!
Getting out of Helgen's cave... u simply had the Alduin's experience/attack in the city! Nobody's knows that dragons returned. So, this mod here super breaks the immersion... Nice mod, but nope.
I use a mod where I am not dragonborn, are you saying I should not enjoy dragons right away because your immersion is hurt? Amazing that people do things different than you in modding hm?
"Nobody knows that dragons returned" is not true. Everyone that survived Helgen, including your character knows. So do some people in Riverwood. Hilde, Faendal's mother, complains that she saw a dragon before you get to Riverwood. And Ralof's borther-in-law says he saw a dragon flying through the valley. Who's to say it wasn't the dragon at the Standing Stones. So no, immersion intact if you pay attention to the game.
First off, I always thought it was immersion-breaking that the dragons know you're the dragonborn, and yet they barely f*#@ with you except in certain areas. I also thought it was stupid a dragon would attack helgen, but unless you went and had a conversation with a milk-drinker in a big chair at Whiterun, they essentially fucked off the whole game, never to spawn. That is stupid and makes the whole world feel fake as f*#@, the opposite of immersion.
Second, if you want the dragons to spawn according to the vanilla logic, when installing using the FOMOD, just choose the "leveled lists" version. This will add the new dragons to the vanilla dragon spawn logic (they won't spawn until after Whiterun quest and they only spawn in locations where dragons already spawn in vanilla, this is the version you want if you want the game's logic to be changed the least and only want to see the new dragons without new challenges along with it).
What's insane is, all I had to do to figure that out, was actually read the different options from within the FOMOD installer itself. It explains this to you. Not anoyone else's fault you can't use the eyeballs God gave you to read words in front of your face.
Somereason there is a large gap or invisible wall/space in front of some of the dragons where I can't get close enough to hit them, unless I try to hit them on the side. Really annoying, to the point where I put in tcl occasionally or just write kill in the commands because it's such a nuisance. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix?
I'm having this issue as well they have been dropping hag raven feathers and when fighting them followers call them forsworn only dragon mods i have currently are this and the bellyachers replacements.
A lot of the dragons in this mod don't have dragon scale in their drop tables, which I reckon is for balance, and many of them were added to the Forsworn faction for some reason... presumably to prevent dragons chilling in the Reach and forsworn from killing each other as soon as they spawn. Still a weird solution since it, as you say, makes NPCs use dialogue lines meant for fighting Forsworn.
Today I met two dragons named 'ruddy aspfang' near Fort Hraggstad, they flew around and dealt fire damage as usual, but no damage could be done to them (all various spells just flew through, but weapon hit sound was there, yet their health didn't decrease). I had to remove them via console. I have this mod, Immersive Dragons, and KS Dragon Overhaul 2. Some kind of incompatibility?
I had the same issue, and I suspect KS Dragon Overhaul 2 gets confused by the Ruddy Aspfangs being DragonSmallRace instead of DragonRace. I experimented with changing their race in SSEEdit to DragonRace and that did the trick for me.

Breaks the immersion (and main quest).
This seems unintended.
