Hi all! I've finally successfully updated Dragon War. I had some troubles after my December break, so that's why it was delayed so much.

I'm also working on the next update, which will bring to your game a new dragon. It didn't make it for this update because I have no permission to use the textures I want to, but I'm working to fix that.

I've also opened a Patreon page, if you want to support me.

Hey everyone! I saw some of you complaining about the screen shake, but that's an engine feature for the explosions so I can't really do much. If you really don't want it, I would suggest to use Disable Screen Shake Effect, that gets rid of it.

I will reinstate again how imbecilic this mod is. Player is level 45 while Alduin is level 75. How the f*#@ are you supposed to win? Alduin one-shots you if you're not cheating, let's pretend you dodge his chomp or flame breath this mod also adds flame meteor spam all around the area for the entire battle which deletes your HP in three hits. Most dragons also take away half of your life points in two hits. Really stupid mod. Moronic on another level, zero understanding of balance.

I'm all for making dragons more stronger foes, but shouldn't we the player have ways to tackle these new mechanics?

For example, instead of getting rag dolled every time the dragon deicides to land or fly away, we simply hold block and standfast to prevent this?

Also, for the giant storms that appear, think we could use the clear sky thu'um to clear the storm mid fight so we aren't being hit for with unfair AoE?

Again, great mod, but there has to be balance; It is not fun nor fair to buff enemies with no chance for us to fight back. Cheers.

Yeah, it also happens to me. I'm currently at level 65, and the dragons are still at level 10.

This mod has single-handedly managed to make dragon's the most insufferable enemy type in Skyrim. If your idea of fun is staring at the sky, watching multiple dragons buzz around a town like  flies for 15 minutes until they decide to stop for 10 seconds to let you shoot/hit them, then this mod is for you. Honestly fk this mod, this has most certainly raised my blood pressure by how unplayable it felt at a certain point.

It does add interesting new dragon types (acid, glacial dragon) and weather dynamics (storms caused by dragon shouts) so I'll concede it that

      +1
All of these great features yet none of them shine because dragons are just sky chickens now.
Specially those randomly spawned dragons, they don't even enter combat with the player anymore (doesn't even register as a red dot)  they just fly in circles, attack some random mountain goat then fly off into the horizon never to be seen again.
and I don't think you can safely uninstall this mid game since it runs on scripts...

To the mod author: would you ever consider allowing users to view archived versions? I updated the mod mid-game and it's causing repeatable crashes on load, proven by a crash logger. I updated from 3.2.0 and am looking to revert back.

EDIT: Managed to fix it in SSE Edit. Found a conflict between the newest version and USSEP Changes Reverted. Patching it manually worked.

What part of the mod needs a video or image, and why?

Hi, thanks for your mod. can u please help me with some question?
1/ Im using Diverse Dragons Collection SE and Splendor - Dragon Variants SE, is your mod compatible with these 2, i dont see u mention them in the desctiption
2/ Does this mod have script ? Script heavily? I m looking for using as less script as possible
    Thanks again for your work!

Interesting ideas here, impressive. Unfortunately, I'm finding a few things that are perhaps bad interactions with other mods? I'm curious about others experience and/or workarounds.

    1. Dragons seem to spam some shouts up front, then go quiet (no shouts, breath attacks, etc) for 5-10 minutes real time. Dragons will land on a building or whatever, stare at the PC as I run right up and plink away with a bow. Then fly off after a little while.
    2. They seem less willing to land or stay landed than vanilla, which already has very flight-focused packages. Could be me though. Certainly not less likely to fly.
    3. I'm not sure what weather and lighting changes are being set, but most of the encounters I've had so far have my screen near blacked out for the long periods of the fight. I'm using Rudy ENB for Cathedral.
    4. Due mainly to 1 and 2, fights are taking 15-30 minutes (real time) of sprinting to get into range of the next landing spot and plinking one or two arrows for a tiny damage amount. Repeat until health drops low enough to force a landing. Then I get close and grind melee without much threat as long as I don't get too close to teeth.

I'm using the Valravis combat stack. My other dragon-affecting mods are: Infinite Dragon Variations, and Immersive Dragons (that's just a mesh replacer for bigger wings).

Some minor, additional feedback: being killed by randomized storm effects while fighting a dragon that won't itself fight back seems an odd player experience.

number 2 bothered me to the point of going back to vanilla with skyvalor stat tweaks + dragons use thuum.
I installed this because It was supposed to be vanilla plus. while it has has it's own charms but AI behaviour is opposite of vanilla, I can't get my hands on these rats, they are always flying away from me, for the most part I'm roaming around saying why did I install this mod.
worst part is with talkative dragons mod these rats are taunting me in combat and I'm like bruh stop trolling me just fight me ffs :D

Hi good day. Ive encountered a strange bug where everytime a dragon shows up and starting to rain lighting of fire or whatever, every npc near me will start to attack me. I barely even finish alduin final battle because the sovngard heroes are attacking me.

Seconded. The NPCs for some reason attribute weather attack effects to be from the player and become hostile.
