Beneath the College of Winterhold there is a staff unlike any other in all of Skyrim.  Some say it was crafted by the great Shalidor himself by methods that were lost long ago.  It is the Staff of Power!

This mod adds a unique staff to the Midden under the College of Winterhold that protects the wielder with a powerful ward that deflects 100 pts of spell damage when blocking.  It also give the user an extra 100pts of magic and reduces the cost of all spells by 10%.  You can only equip it in your left hand like a shield.  You can use a spell or one-handed weapon in your right hand.  The inspiration came from how Gandalf would fight with his staff in the LOTR movies. 

Update:

Several new staffs have been added to merchant's inventories, especially at the college.  These are like College staffs that adds spells and powers to you inventory when the staff is equipped.  The master level spells are added as well.  You can also craft unenchanted staves at forges that you can enchant now, but are limited to whatever enchantments you can put on a shield.  There will be special staff enchantments you can use in future updates.    

My next step is going to add more staffs for specific magic classes with custom enchantments, spells and powers.
