Yeah. First priority is bug-less and fast implementation, hooks compatibility and perfect code. Fine logo, readable description, nice MCM and other useless stuff in last place :) I did all what I wanted with this mod gameplay-related (actually, Thingamajig gave 2 more ideas), so it is time to do quality of life things.
I absolutely understand that many of users have 0 clue about how good my mods inside, that there is no dirty hacks, bad implementations & algorithms (unlike many others, papyrus especially). They look just on game behavior they don't understand (too lazy to read my articles or long complicated descriptions), on my bad-English descriptions and on stupid options in tomls.
They look and skip... Ok, they either will come after some time and see many good changes, enjoy and finally download. Or will never come. Well, let's consider it fate :)
I will definitely do same thing with my other mods (I will RE even old ones, like Just take books, Disenchanter, Where is the key), rework and make user-friendly. As soon as I implement all it's features I want to.
I wonder if you thinking to make the same overhaul for Magicka system? Since currently wearing heavy armor etc doesn't change anything on magicka. Like maybe with robes you get %100 regen value, with light armor its %70, with heavy armor its %30 etc.
Btw i wonder if the same thing goes on with fenix stamina overhaul? Wearing heavy armor affects swimming and sprint value but is it affect total regen value?
About magicka. I've never played as mage. So I don't have a vision of how it should work. If I accumulate enough worthy ideas, I release magic mod. The only thing is I am definitely sure -- it separate from stamina and armor. It's magic, yeah. Everyone could suggest.
About regeneration. It depends on your settings. You could look at "Regen" tab in MCM and configure. Affects both equipped weight and carry weight.
Im not a fan of pure mage playthrough, but spellsword or forms of that are always tempting. The problem with it, light or heavy armor doesn't matter plus you get the same robe bonuses with some perk points on enchantment. So no restriction ends up infinite Magicka with god like spells with heavy armor where you don't even need to use your melee weapon. Also, i don't even mention abusing healing spells.
Requiem has a few good ideas on that like your magicka cannot regen during run, without perk, casting a spell in heavy armor cost %100 more, in light its %50, etc.
A mod maybe like stamina overhaul, where running reduce magicka regen, armor weight increase spell cost or reduces magicka regen speed by %, during combat it slows down. For opposing linear downgrades, every skill point in heavy armor or related spell school may reduce these penalties. Like at if your illusion at level 50, you can cast illusion spells with a lower penalty and if your heavy armor is at level 70 your magicka starts regen as much as light armor, etc.
I use a combination of True Armor and Skyrim Unleveled to achieve something like this. True Armor allows you to set a penalty for how fast Magicka regenerates depending on the armor you're wearing, and SU includes a penalty to casting cost that scales with the armor you wear, although this penalty is offset to a degree by your armor skill.
As a caveat, I do heavily edit Skyrim Unleveled to get rid of a lot of the stuff that I find to be unbalanced/silly, so use that mod with caution.
Yeah, it's a nice combination but skyrim unleveled suffers modders of old time disease, which is it tries to cover everything and touches everything, which broke down most modern mods. True armor is nice tho, the only downside is the scripts.
Regarding perk "Trained Fighter" from ordinator, there must be some people who don't want it to take effect on normal attacks, but the author forgot to add this setting to mcm, so I give a specific operation, just open ##\Fenix Stamina Overhaul\mcm \Config\FenixStaminaOverhaul open the setting, change bNormalAttackPerks = 1 to 0 under [Costs]. Finally thank the author for the mod.I'm just a Chinese high school student, forgive my English level it might cause you trouble
in certain preset and weapon weight, this might leave normal attack consuming more than power attack(sometimes even 0cost power attack while normal attack still cost stamina), which is really conter intuitive and even broken. why bother normal attack if your power attack cost a fraction of it or can even be spam infinitely, right? Imo, the best solution would just be open xedit, and revert the ordinator perks to vanilla effect (00052D50 and 00052D51). the vanilla -25% stamina cost is already good enough for most combat mod setup. its really easy and takes like maybe 3 min max.
Simon actively responds to bug reports though. This guy hasn't responded to a single one in over two years. It might be better, but it's still a buggy mess considering the fourteen or so pages that are filled with bug reports.
karuu2 The bug tab is 80% of the time filled with PEBCAK, and this is for pretty much every mod. I for sure understand the appeal of Blade and Blunt, but it's so much more than a stamina overhaul...
That said, i can't recommend this mod as well, especially if you want to use it on AE. The author is extremely proud and their condescending message on their profile doesn't help, so they just "abandoned" the mod. Only way to have good stamina control nowadays, seems to come down to using a complete combat overhaul.
Do you have to wear a cuirass for jump to pose a drain because it isn't working at all for me. If that is the case, is there a different version for clothes/rags/mage build that doesn't wear armor?
I'm also having problems with the stamina regening. Even after sleeping, eating and drinking, the stamina is completely empty and won't regen. As far as I know, I don't have anything else changing stamina use like this mod. Maybe things that give you stamina regen penalties like iNeed. I'd love some feedback.
I can't believe no one has updated this to AE yet, Doodlum? Come on!
Fenix was one of the most competent modders for Skyrim, and everyone ignores him for no reason. He never asked for money, he never paywalled his mods (looking at you animators from SkyrimGuild), he was never involved in any scandal, and his mods were of great value.
And yet, most of his stuff barely has 2k downloads... It's really sad. I love Fenix and I hope he comes back some day, but before then, I think we should show him support and love.

Oh welll
I need more time..
And less ideas than I want to code!
If you haven't installed Better Jumping SE -- bad news, it seems separate bug. Report!
Otherwise, update it to the latest (1.7.2) version. Huge thanks to Travoxis !!!
I was beating my head over this.
Cheers

In all cases of Bug Section it's always a compatibility issue
Edit: Went ahead and tried installing *only this mod and it's requirements* and it still does not work. This *can not* be a compatibility issue.

Worth it.
Thanks for any help.
