I am planning to try this out in VR - I can see no reason why it shouldn't work - the ring of smacking does but that is completely OP - I am curious to know what you mean by 'nerfed khajiit claws' though? Does this mean Khajiit claws are just nerfed globally - or only when using the gloves? Would like to know because I rely on my claws early on in the game and don't want to lose that ability, but don't mind losing it when I put on some fighting gloves later on :)
OK confused now :)
Version 8
Removed the damage bonus from Khajiit.
Does this mean you have removed the nerf, or is this you adding the nerf??? Because Khajiits get a damage bonus - so this could mean you removed the vanilla bonus - or it could me you removed the damage penalty that was originally added to the mod - my brain hurts??? :) :) :)<Sherlock Holmes> You posted version 8 at 5:52pm and you replied to the message about the Khajiit nerf below at 5:57pm on the same day - so going to deduce you uploaded the new version 8 without the Khajiit nerf </Sherlock Holmes> Refills pipe and gets out the violin... :)
I removed the edit for the claws (which was lowering the khajiit damage, which was a racial edit). So now khajiit will have what ever bonus, with what ever race overhaul.
This looks very cool! Any idea if it works in VR? I've always wanted a viable option for boxing with progression/upgrades when I'm looking to get some cardio. I'm thinking the damage scale would work but the speed mechanic may either get ignored in VR or is applied and simply registers hits at X speed regardless of physical strikes?
Do the gloves added by this mod work with the Ordinator unarmed perks? Also, would it be difficult to release a version that does not change the khajiit unarmed damage to improve compatibility with other racial balancing mods?
Yes this will work with Ordinator's Unarmed Perks. The enchantment, adds to Unarmed Damage. Where the majority of the Ordinator perks, modify by a percentage. So those should stack.
Thank you for adding unamored cloth gloves. I am currently playing a spellcaster who doesn't wear armor and this mod was exactly what I was looking for. But I have a problem. The spell Mage Armor gives bonus protection to someone who isn't wearing armor. However, the cloth gloves prevents that bonus even though they don't have an armor rating. Are the cloth gloves still tagged as being armor?
I evaporated the cloth gloves to learn the enchantment (fisticuffs) and tried to put it on ordinary, unenchanted mage gloves. However, I wasn't able to apply the fisticuffs enchantment to mage gloves. Could the 30% bonus to attack speed be the problem? I was able to enchant the mage gloves with the unarmed bonus from the Gloves of the Pugilist, so my immediate problem is solved. But still... it would have been nice to use the cloth gloves, if possible.
Oh wow. I haven't gotten many calls for this in a very long time. glad you like it. I think the issue is, I have the cloth gloves tagged as armor. So I'd need to fix it.
This mod is dope. I use it alongside Way of the Monk since that puts a pretty big emphasis on unarmed combat. I did go in and make all the enchantments available to clothing (since WotM emphasizes unarmored as well and it works really well for building an EXTREME glass cannon). I am having issues with the levelling system tho. At this point I'm around level 60 and haven't encountered anything but bandaged gloves out in the wild. While I have been able to craft many of them, the magical gloves seem pretty neat and I haven't had the opportunity to see them yet.
Thanks for the kudo's. Glad you like it. It's a good possibility that I may have set up the leveled lists improperly. You'll have to show me how you did that for clothing, with the enchantments.
Not planning on a rude review, however I didn't find this mod useful. The damage bonus is virtually none compared to the Ordinator mod's Iron Fist and in fact the attack speed change didn't work at all. I noticed no difference in striking speeds or rate of attack. Even the Way of the Monk mod managed to speed up striking speed, but I got rid of that because it's "unarmed" weapon is in fact a weapon that can be confiscated in Markarth.
Thanks for letting me know that the speed change isn't working. This mod does need an update. I will look into it when I get a chance. As for Ordinator, this mod was out before that mod. But I will be checking that out, soon as I have my own mod list for SE worked up.
Haven't used it yet, just downloaded and wanted to thank you for making this mod, but also ask if at some point you could add an enchant to shoot destruction spells? I know I know, this is an unarmed mod lol, but it'd be cool seeing a fireball hurled from my fist than the typical spell casting animation. Anyway looking forward to playing with this, love unarmed combat.
Really love the look of th gloves you made here! Just a few questions:
1) You list AR and Damage for each glove -- which one is used for fists of steel damage, or are both counted?
2) I can't temper any of the gloves, and I can't apply the enchantment to any regular gauntlets I craft (orcish, ebony, daedric, etc). Is there a certain type of gear the enchantment goes on?
The first of steel perk should add on to the effects here. The tempering recipes for these gloves , create the "Improved version" listed on the chart. It was my only work around for the fact that they are "Armor" and not actually a "Weapon". As for the enchantments, they should work . I will have to check it out the next time I can.
I tried to learn the enchant of all gloves, but none can be placed in any armor type, gloves or other parts. I have learned the enchant of the "Glove of the Pugilist" too, and i would like to know if it is the same effect (without speed attack, i know) than the gloves of this mod?
And i have an other problem, the "Waxed Leather Gloves" (Ebony skin) are supposed to be light armor (Like we can read in the game), but when i wear them, i get the bonus when i have a complete heavy armor. Are you sure there really are light armor?
thank you. And I am aware of the enchantment problem, I am unsure how to fix this. The Glove of the pugliist enchantment is the base effect, without the speed or the stagger effect. And there's a chance i didn't correctly use the proper key words for the waxed gloves.

Thanks for a really interesting mod!
And thanks, I'm glad you like it!
First, thanks for this very good mod!

(sorry, english is not my native language..)
For the waxed gloves, I like them in heavy armor, they give me some bonus, it's not so bad.
