Did you purposely leave out the bodyslide files for Practical Female Armors? Looking at nifscope there doesn't seem to be any changes except for the name of the file. Should be an easy patch of just renaming your meshes and leading them to the correct file paths.

I'm not sure what you mean. The patch for Practical Female Armors only touches its vanilla meshes.

Practical female armors has bodyslide files as optional for those who need to build them in bodyslide. I think it's the last thing you can click in the installer.

I thought the provided files in the Optional are only the shape data for the program to process onto the mesh, and not the mesh themselves? This patch only concerns the texture paths and colour values of the meshes, not the shape, so said meshes can simply be given the original mod's shape data? If those were true, then there is no need to provide bodyslide files since the changes made by this patch only concerns the texture paths and colours.

That said, I'm not familiar with bodyslide. I'm still not sure which part of it is head or tails.

The optional files include a base mesh that is used as the reference for bodyslide build. That base mesh is separate from the game's default mesh directory. So when you compare your patched mesh to the bodyslide mesh, they are not the same because yours has applied the cathedral patch while the theirs does not. However, when you load them in Nifscope, there are 0 differences between them. So really you can just copy your mesh, rename it, and make sure the folder structure is exactly the same and they will overwrite the existing bodyslide files from the mod. Does that make sense?

I see. I found differences in Ebony, Ebony Mail, and Nord Plate, though. Would that still be okay?

I think so. I'm looking at nord plate and the only difference I see is actually the order the tri shape is in the nif (which gives the illusion there are more branches in the original practical mod). I think you should be good to go if you just rename and add them as a file path.

Nifskope is not the best way to compare envmask values when you are putting stuff out there as a mod because in-game will almost always look different. So unless you have a trained eye for the differences which almost no one does unless you have a done a lot of nif work. And where the envmask might look to bright in nifskope it will look perfect in-game. You should be putting both comparisons up or just the in-game, not just the nifskope. I can shop you in my list where the value of 2 looks perfect in-game.

So the effects of the value are specific to the (modded) game setup? I did not know that.

I do not have any mod in mine that leads to the occurrence--though it is a light one with only Luminosity for graphics, and possibly Cathedral Weathers for the same vein--and with vanilla it has the same "brightness issue".

In both cases the appearance is more-or-less accurately displayed in game and Nifskope both. I simply did not bother with putting more complete comparison screenshots due to a rushed release and figuring that it does not really need them, given the presumed accuracy.

Assuming I'm correct in that the effects are specific to the setup, would it be enough to simply add to the description further clarification alongside uploading an in-game screenshot, stating that the final appearance may be different for each game as it is specific to its setup?

Yes any specific load order can change the look of things in game. Then you add weather mods, enbs, reshades and things change. In general nifskope is a terrible idea to use for screens in mods because they typically don't reflect in-game looks. So unless you use and deal a lot in nifskope and modding you wont be able to tell how it will affect in game. Yes put the clarification and some in-game shots comparing the 2 with you weather mod and enb if you use one.

Thank you for PFA patch. Any thoughts on mod patches that make armors warm?

What do you mean by warm armors?

In any case, I unfortunately wouldn't be able to work on a release any time soon.
