Version 4.0 contains major updates and changes to the file structure as well as a list of fixes (see changelog for full details). It is different from the version useD in Immersive Armors SSE 8.1 and was ported using an updated porting tool. The major change is that there is now only one file, with both the Robes and Masks merged into a single esp. The Oldrim version is now officially unsupported but will be archived on the original page at Version 3.0. All future updates and changes will be on SSE only.
The Argonian mask is unique and awesome. I love it so much.

Yes, its in Immersive Armors. However, you can only change the current color of the robes you're about to craft in the Immersive Armor's MCM. However even if you change said color in it's MCM, the already crafted robes retain their color. That MCM is also how you change the robes between Unarmored (Clothes), Light and Heavy Armor.

I would also not recommend using Immersive Armors, if you plan on starting saves with the vanilla Helgen Scene. Immersive Armors has had a bug for the longest time where it glitches out the carriages and horses, causing Hadvar to crash into the player's cart, and send both carriages and Hadvar (With horse) into the stratosphere.. Only General Tullius is left unscathed..
That issue is actually caused by having any number of mods loaded during the helgen scene and is not immersive armors specific. Nothing they are doing is causing that, what's causing it is you loading mods during the helgen scene. If you must have the helgen intro intact, then simply go into an interior and load your mods after. Or just use live another life.
There are two actual issues with immersive armors methodology, and one is entirely innocuous and the other is only applicable if you try to remove the mod mid-save.
Did vanilla start with Immersive Armors turned on just a couple days ago, no issues with the carriage scene. Have always had it and have never had that problem, so it must not be very common, or related to conflicts with other mods.
