    wait sorry for asking and maybe dumb question but are giant campfires different lightsources which never really got adressed in any light mod? o.O i mean cool mod and all honour the effort but this confuses me personally

    Conflicts with NAT III (giantcampfire01burningnoland.nif and giantcampfire01burning.nif). I assume it will cause issues?

    Is there any way to make this compatible with Embers XD's model for the Giant Campfire? I assume a patch needs to be made, but I have no clue how to do that.

      Exalderan, I only got 45 DLs on the patch... would You point out the incompatibility with ELFX right on Your site and refer to my patch? I want more people to benefit from it :/

      Sorry, though I already had the latest version, looks like I need to do some cleanup on my downloads. Will try the latest and see if the problem is fixed. Thanks for the quick response.

    Hi Exalderan. I am trying to make a Patch for ELFX - Exteriors. That mod, so someone reported here, adds non-shadow lights right above Yours that drown out any shadows.


    • I am disabling those lights specifically. That does not however seem to suffice to get shadows for me in the places I can check (early in the game).
    • I am trying to solve this via Radius and Fade settings first, I am editing the unique, named campsite lights from Your Mod for the respective larger radius and an intermediary Fade setting from ELFX - Exteriors vs. Yours.

    • Is there a reason, why EVE_GiantCampFireSleepingTree has no XLIG Light Data | XRDS Radius entries?

      • EDIT: Data is missing in {TumbleArchPass, SleepingTree, RedRoad}. I added it and set Shadow Depth Bias to 1.0.


    EDIT 2: So I did all of the above and still don't get much shadow... There ARE a few, faint gray lines that could be shadows from the logs and sometimes poles around. Do You have a tip what I could tweak to boost my fire shadows? I'm using ENB and ENB Light. This is about seeing whether or not I have any shadows there at all... the fire settings in xEdit look good. So sth else is off.

      Hi, you need to download the 1.2 update first. Some fires weren't covered in the 1.1.1 version.
      Missing light data and radius entries just default to the standard values of giant campfire lights.

    Please consider a re-up after cleaning with xEdit. Contains deleted Refs, need to undelete and disable refs instead. Cheers

      Hello Exalderan, thx for getting back to me on the Bug Report. Sorry for the confusion - What I meant to ask was, should the last record that removed the "doesn't light landscape" flag be deleted altogether from the mod in xEdit, or is it needed? I was a bit hasty there. The ITM was not one. The other one, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't an accidental edit. Thanks again!

      Yes, it's needed. If you remove that flag the fires wont illuminate the landscape. Everything around it will stay dark. No light - no shadow.

    Mod has deleted references and needs to be cleaned with SSEEdit to un-delete and disable these references.

    I was hoping this mod would help in how far the big fires lighten things, but no, still the objects and actors are completely in the dark just one step outside the max range, which is very little, like 4 or 5 meters? it's quite un-immersive and ridiculous to see :(
    So even if one make the light more intense with enb, near object becomes more lightened, but the range stay the same...

      So that's why this mod stopped working, can't even revert to older ember xd because those are archived...
      Ember XD has a patch in the FOMOD
