For me the subtle galaxy with twinkling stars is the best stars mod. I had tried about 7 to 10 of them before this. Thanks! It reminds me of the twinkling stars in the first Styx game which were interesting to look at because of the detail.
Oh boy this has been driving me crazy. Something I did - disabling TAA perhaps, probably when testing ENBs? - resulted in twinkling stars in the night sky, and it was glorious. But the ENBs were a big performance hit, so I uninstalled them. And my twinkling stars vanished. It was the TAA.
However, your stars actually do twinkle even with the TAA. What have you done differently? Why is this so awesome?
I'm using the 4k version and the effect is quite subtle, but I'm delight to say it's there. I just don't know why! I tried removing mip maps from the Cathedral star textures but the effect there was far less noticeable. Also the static background from Cathedral Skies galaxy obviously doesn't twinkle, so it's best to go with a more subdued galaxy background instead that really helps bring out your stars.
Love this and your moon overhaul mod as well. Some other star mods make the starts look too uniform so they no longer really look like constellations. Yours is better
Do you happen to have a nebula/galaxy overhaul mod that you use/recommend?

You can find my mod for remade moons, stars, nebula, auroras and constellations here :
and , 4K texture Mix of big and small stars , VER
i think i like the big and small stars better. it looks more natural, and more closely resembles the real night sky
My old steam powered computer can't handle 4K
The result is particularly realistic
Good work
