Changelogs
This mod is an SSE conversion of the old mod Levitate Toggle-Able Spell, made by HydroBirous for Oldrim, which I've spiced up with a bit of DAR compatibility for extra immersion. All credit for the actual mod itself goes to Hydro Birous, who made the original, and J3X, who made the original flying script. The animations are converted for SSE using CAO, and originate from three separate animation packs:

- Dragon Priest Animation for Playable Races by Nahkriin/gp160
- LEVitation animations by Redfall6
- Hovering Idle and Combat Animations by Khenta

Installation:

- Download and install Dynamic Animation Replacer
- Download and install this mod
- Enjoy!

Uninstallation:

- Uninstall this mod. YOU CANNOT DO THIS MID-GAME!

Details/Compatibility:

So this mod was a bit wonky on Oldrim, but that's because the old game often couldn't keep up with scripting, so you'd kind of... plummet to your death on the rocks below. Not so with this version! I've extensively tested it ingame, and it works flawlessly (my install is ~1000 plugins thick + ENB, with many heavy mods). Even while loading new regions and casting intensive, scripted spells, the levitation remains rock-solid.

Technically, this mod does not cause you to actually fly - because that's almost impossible in the engine. No, it uses a script to continuously place an invisible platform beneath the player. The DAR requirement makes it so that when the spell is active, the player's animations are swapped out for ones which hover. Because of this, NPCs can occasionally end up on the platform as well should the player float too close to them. There's nothing I can do about it though, sadly.

Additionally, this mod is only really usable in third person. The first person camera and animations are wildly different - for instance, you will hear footsteps in first person, but not in third. I am unsure as to compatibility with mods like Immersive First Person or Improved Camera.

Many thanks to Gardemarin, who provided a fix for the broom plate mesh!

PFAQ:
(Probably Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Where are the spells?
A: Buyable at Belethor's and from Farengar.

A2: There are now two places, one for the spell version and one for the power version. The spell version can be found in High Hrothgar. Very useful if one of the old men falls off the mountain. The Power version can be found in the Tower of Mzark's reading chamber. The cheat versions of both can only be found in the mysterious place some would refer to as "the console".

Q: What's with the Magicka?
A: Ok, so this spell calculates magicka based on multiple things - your inventory weight, what you are currently doing, etc. Floating in midair will make it consume less magicka than zooming through the sky. The exact details are on the original mod page.

There's not much else to say. Have fun lol.
